Last year i kind of just looked at this situation like conspiracy theory but there seems to be some new evidence but i'm a little lost when it comes to the new intricacies of the situation
can i get the evidence for and against the birth certificate issue so i can make my own assessment on this, I know rush hasn't touched it that much but Hannity brought up the Major Cook issue
I really want to believe this and i trust most freepers but i need to evaluate the facts

The 14th Amendment excludes “persons born in the United States who are foreigners”. I believe that meets the criteria of your example. Ergo, the child is exclusively French. Agree?

You may be right in that assessment. Considering that angle, perhaps Bret Baier covered the story a) because it was on Drudge and therefore necessary to weigh in and b) because it was a political connection to the military, which is always news (e.g. overseas military votes every election.)
If he was born here, he's a US citizen. There have been other presidents who had non-citizen parents, and they weren't disqualified from holding the office.
Herbert Hoover's mother was Canadian. Woodrow Wilson's was British (Scottish), as was Chester Arthur's father (Irish). James Buchanan's parents were also Irish-born non-citizens.
If Obama wasn't born here he's in trouble, but we aren't going to start disqualifying those who had one non-citizen parent from becoming president. If his father had been a part of the Kenyan (or British) government when he came to the US, your case would be stronger.

Buchanan was also the only President from Pennsylvania and the only President never to marry. His mother Elizabeth Speer was born in Pennsylvania. His father James Buchanan emigrated to the United States from Ireland in 1783. It was an interesting year for the United States as the Treaty of 1783 was signed between the US and Great Britain. Colonists chose to be United States citizens and by virtue of the Treaty, Great Britain recognized those former subjects as United States citizens. Before the Constitution, United States citizenship was conferred on citizens by the States. When the Constitution was ratified, each citizen of a state became a citizen of the United States. No formal naturalization was needed. On June 21, 1788 the Constitution was ratified. The Buchanans were citizens of Pennsylvania and therefore James Sr. was a citizen of the United States. Hoover was born in Iowa, 1874. He was the 31st President. His father Jesse was from Ohio, a US citizen. His mother Hulda Minthorn was from Ontario, Canada. They were married in 1870. According to the 1855 act, which was in effect until 1922, Hoover's mother became a US citizen automatically when she married Jesse. Wilson's mother gained US citizenship when she married his father according to a congressional Act of February 1855, which stated, "any woman who might lawfully be naturalized under existing laws, married, or shall be married to a citizen of the United States, shall be deemed and taken to be a citizen. [Act of February 10, 1855, 10 Stat. 604, section 2] This was called derivative citizenship. This act was enacted in 1855. Woodrow Wilson was born in December 1856. Chester Arthur was not a natural born citizen either. He usurped the office of the president. New information about his citizenship and that of his father was discovered in December 2008 by Leo Donofrio. Historians have confirmed Donofrio's discoveries and validated them. A new book is forthcoming on Arthur's chicanery. Donofrio's research is too long to post, so here's a link.

Disqualifying those individuals was absolutely, positively, without a doubt the intent of the founding fathers. My case is rock solid, thanks to Leo Donofrio's hard work.
I should have pinged you to my comment in #147 since this is your thread. There’s good information there about other U.S. Presidents who had one parent from a foreign country. Check out the assertion in #146 and then the response in #147.
Medved did it again during his show yesterday. He called down a woman caller who brought up the birth certificate issue by asking her if she had a shred of evidence that the Zero was not born in Honolulu. The woman did not come back with a good response, but my response would have been, how can anyone have any evidence, since all of Zero’s records (including his long form birth certificate) are in lockdown, and he is fighting in court and spending a lot of money to keep them that way. I would then ask why Medved and the lamestreams aren’t hammering Zero to release all his personal, medical, and educational records as other presidents have had to do WHILE STILL CANDIDATES FOR OFFICE.
