Iraqis have a future of their own making. French Muslims have to rely on the arbitrary kindnesses of the French.

The US went into Iraq with an intent of democratizing the country.

France went to Africa to gain colonial possessions

If the Iraqi constitution were not to pass, we would have seen a syrian counter-offensive in Lebanon. Now that it has passed, the Al-Seyassah Koweiti daily (Nov. 7 page 1)sees in the French intifada a hand of the Syrian and Iranian services in response to the French position vis-a-vis the nuclear iranian problem.

"The Government and the peoples of Kurdistan invite you to discover their peaceful region, a place that has practiced democracy for over a decade, a place where the universities, markets, cafes and fair grounds buzz with progress and prosperity and where the people are already sowing the seeds of a brighter future."
