50 Cent Disagrees With Kanye West (about Bush comment)

NEW YORK -- Rap feuds aren't usually about differing opinions on President Bush. However, that appears to be the case between 50 Cent and Kanye West.

50 says he disagrees with West's infamous statement that "George Bush doesn't care about black people," proclaimed during a September telethon for Hurricane Katrina victims.

"I think people responded to it the best way they can," 50 told ContactMusic.com. "What Kanye West was saying, I don't know where that came from."

Instead, 50 said, "The New Orleans disaster was meant to happen. It was an act of God."

I thought everyone would get a kick out of this.

See it's not just conservatives that think Kayne West is a Yo Yo.

Oh yeah, and another person believes it was an act of God.

Very surprising to hear this from 50 Cent. Glad to see he's not a complete moron.

50 cent did not get rich (or die trying) by offending his huge white male teen fan base.

"The New Orleans disaster was meant to happen. It was an act of God."

I've heard this numerous times from churchgoing black friends and acquaintances, who genuinely believe this to be true, that God intended to blow the sin and corruption out of that town so it could be renewed. This is one reason that the MSM spin on Katrina didn't take hold as planned.

50 Cent Disagrees With Kanye West

Well...I didn't really care what Kanye West thinks, so I guess for consistency I don't really give a damn what 50-Cent thinks either... But I'm sure glad AP decided to write a story about it -- NOT.

LMAO! That sounds like the Muslims who think it was the work of Allah!! "Lt. Katrina", remember?

Perhaps it was yet-another-in-a-LONG-history of "$hit Happens" events.

"Perhaps it was yet-another-in-a-LONG-history of "$hit Happens" events."

Well, we all have our own view of just how the world works. This genuine belief that Katrina was an act of God stems, at least in part, from recent "prophetic" statements, such as the following, from August 29, 2004:

"CHUCK Pierce, known for his startlingly accurate visions, spoke these words one year ago in Baton Rouge, Lousiana: “The WIND and WATER will rise in the midst of New Orleans. Many from the south will come north for refuge. Prepare. Prepare now for winds and water that will surprise you. I will renew the pattern not fully seen before. Worship will be here, and birthed in a new way from here. Prepare! Prepare! Prepare! Shift! Saul will be no more. David will arise from this day forward. The wind from the south will begin to blow. Watch for the effects. This will purify the land and bring great change.”

But wait - there’s more. Pierce went on to say: “I will send the wind up the Mississippi River and this wind will shake Missouri. You will see the land shake in Missouri because of the wind from Louisiana. Get ready. Don’t brace yourself. Throw yourself up. Get ready for the new is coming. Every place I blow on will shake. The wind is coming on Louisiana and it will shake the entire state. I will fill churches. The south purifying wind of My holiness will sweep across Louisiana. People will be on their faces in malls and shopping centers. Boldness will come upon My people in Louisiana. There is a worship call. Get ready - the wind is about to blow. The river is changing courses. You will be one of the first that changes.”

I don't know what to think about 50, though. I remember him wearing a "Vote or Die" t-shirt.

He is still alive, so we can assume he did vote.

So two-bits agrees with me on a single issue. Great. I still have no intention of purchasing an album upon which he rails against the oppression he and his posse must endure at the hands of whitey. I'm sure y'all will correct me if I am wrong about him. I'm actually basing my opinion on rap 'music' I've heard on the radio that may not have even been performed by him. My post amounts to prejudice at its worst. I will, however, read corrections that explain how reasonable and tolerant half-dollar is and incorporate them into my thinking in the future.
