Great - never thought Nefi could be Asian, but quite possible once you hear the story and look at the bust - er face.

Nefertiti wasn't from Mitanni, unless her mother was an Egyptian princess in an unbroken female line -- the pharaohs married female relatives (symbolically or in reality) such as cousins, half-sisters, sisters, nieces, aunts, etc in order to rule in Egypt and pass on the throne to their own male offspring.

Akhenaten (her husband) OTOH did have roots from that region...

Dr Stephen Oppenheimer, in his book, Eden In The East, makes a compelling case that the Sumerians and Egyptians were refugees from Sundaland (the submerged area around Indonesia/Malaysia). Dr Robert Schoch, in his book, Voyages Of The Pyramid Builders, makes a similar case and believes these refugees spread the custom of pyramid building all over the world.
