In this day today’s people will not go without, they will steal and murder to get what they need...Back during the Great Depression people would literally starve before stealing to survive..Today gangs of City dwellers will swarm the countryside to get supplies no matter who gets in the way..

The next American civil war, doesn’t have to be violent.

Let each state do a survey of their people, and their elected officials, and then, put it out for the public’s consumption and comments, and let the federal government decide if they want to go against the people’s preferences.

Chances are that, the ‘red’ areas would opt to leave the union, and become independent or become part of a new country. The left areas would become like California, and would suffer the consequences. The left side would eventually become another China or another Venezuela or Cuba, with their economies shattered. The left-side would eventually decide that, they made a huge mistake and want to joint the read areas.

Battles would be a thing of the past for decision making, especially in civil wars.

All sides must agree to support whatever the people decide in their surveys.

The next American civil war, doesn’t have to be violent.

Let each state .............................

And that is exactly what are wise Founding Fathers designed. For states to compete on ideas and economics.

This is still not a perfect solution which everyone wants, a magic bullet. But it is better than a bad centralized authority.

We are beginning to see some of that and there is hope.

When the USSR went kaput, the power and corruption went back to the satellite countries, It didn’t go away. But there was competition, and it was closer to the people to control.

People in rural areas can grow food, but agricultural specialization means that many areas would have to shift from cash crops to more general production. A lot of rural areas in the west aren’t really suited for agriculture. Rural populations in the US are smaller than urban/suburban ones, and in some parts of the country the suburbs wouldn’t automatically be on the same side as the further countryside. So it wouldn’t be as easy to take on the cities as many seem to think.

When the USSR went kaput

There's an outside chance that the same thing may happen to the U.S.

States will simply refuse to recognize the federal authority in Washington, D.C.

Then the states will secede peacefully.

Washington, D.C. represents the ruling elite.

The former Soviet Union had the similar problem with the centralization of authority in Moscow.

How do you keep warm in an “apartment” in a city? There are no fireplaces or wood stoves in apartments are there?

In some states you may not freeze to death but you’ll be damned uncomfortable. Where would you cook what food you may find without someone murdering you for it?

Where will you find the sandbags and the sand to fortify yourself and your family? How will you get to water?

Can you dig a latrine in an apartment? When the immediacy of the necessity is upon you, it’s too late!

Just “something” to think about! And, there’s more.

Bingo. There's NO WAY the derp state allows Trump to ever set foot in the White House again.

Also, regarding CW the number one threat will be FIRES, massive fires and the CHINESE SABOTEURS Biden is currently bringing into the United States by the THOUSANDS.

Economically and culturally, we Americans are under ATTACK by the regime. At some point it's going to get HOT. There's a REASON the FIB is throwing as many J6'ers in prison as they can possibly find and that is BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT THESE SAME PEOPLE TO ARRIVE AT THE CRAPITOL AGAIN ON JANUARY 6TH 2025!

The currently PRO-HAMAS riots are a DRY RUN for a possible Trump win in Nov, and LARGELY funded by CHINA via "The People's Forum" who's chief donor LIVES IN CHINA.

“In my opinion, it will be mostly rural versus urban. “

Majority of Maga live in the urban areas. At least in the more populated states. What you will see is millions of Maga fleeing the urban areas to the rural regions which can’t support such an influx of people.

The first civil simmered for many years before it erupted into violence and then war. Emotionally it was about slavery but economic problems played a huge role. If things get bad enough, especially in conjunction with the decline in our culture, not to mention stolen elections, don’t be so sure it won’t happen again.

A further thought, NO ONE wanted to put the Soviet Union back together.

The demise of the Soviet Union was complex. It was not just simply Reagen forcing them into bankruptcy.

The satellite country leaders were jealous of the centralized power and corruption and wanted it for themselves. They didn’t support Lech Walesa out of the goodness of their hearts.

Now there was and individual who changed history. We have Trump.

But I do think we have proper leadership in many states that understand freed and responsibility.

That will be the test.

there will be TWO wars, and it will look much different than the first in that there’ll be war within the blue states before they can make war on anybody else...

it will cost them at home first

Your point is 100% correct.

Unlike the civil war of the 1860’s which was isolated within the US due to the Western hemisphere being very unacessible to much of the world at the time. Things weren’t global!

In The world of 2024, China and other players are simply rotting us from the inside and they are waiting to pounce.
Kind of like the assimilations from The Thing—no one is even aware of who is who.

I guess ww2 was the pinnacle of Usa Greatness. Its been a downhill slide since. 9/11 will ultimately be the “fatal blow” event when history is recorded. Less then a decade after 9/11, we elect and allow a muslim and very possibly a non eligible person to userp the country!!! And here we are in 2024....

Living in Israel now, all i can say is: One day you wake up and you realize the invasion is 100% real.
I live knowing that it can explode at any moment.

He’s wrong about civil wars happening either in democracies drifting towards dictatorship (that’s the US, alright) or in weakening dictatorships (Balkans). The first civil war was nothing like either extreme. It was its own complicated mess bearing no resemblance to his models.

No firebombing necessary.

Once you cut off the supply chain/energy of a place with that many people, hell will break loose pretty fast.

If Manhattan was completely cut off from the world, how long could it last?. the island 90% dead within a month.

If we have a true internal conflict resulting in violence the entire world will collapse in many ways except Russia which is somewhat self sustainable

I don’t wish for it

An amicable partition would be nice

It was be nice and neat with each side having different uniforms from the opposing states fighting in rural battlefields.
It will be more like the Spanish Civil War with no clearly defined front lines with combat ants wearing uniforms and lots of urban warfare where many civilians are killed, starved and raped.
Lots of “private justice” by militias, gangs and individuals.
All the comforts of modern life we take for granted such as reliable electricity, gas, food, medical and potable water will be viewed as luxuries.
The dead will line the roadways and old diseases that affect 3rd world countries will reappear as millions die.
The end of the United States.
