DeSantis was running as a trial run for 2028, he has learned a lot, Trump will be the nominee for the GOP in 2024. Trumps VP will also have a leg up in 2028If DeSantis was running for 2028, he should have taken the Vivek approach.

Primaries have always been about issues....issues that are important to the fabric of the party.
Iowa showed the GOP is not unified. To claim Trump’s is a huge victor when he only got 50 percent of the vote is short sighted. If he doens’t restore unity...he will lose bigtime.

He should have just stayed on for Florida where he is and demurred and delayed to 2028 when his time is/was right.
