CW2 / Domestic violence - Heightened THREAT

Students (and probably more than a few professional agitators, as we have learned) at George Washington University held a “People’s Tribunal” putting many of the school’s faculty on symbolic trial and demanding their deaths.

X account Stu Stu Studios posted footage of the scene featuring a girl speaking through a megaphone, leading chants calling out GWU Provost Christopher Bracey and accusing him of assault on top of the support for Israel and Zionism accusations, chanting, “Bracey, Bracey, we see you, you assault students too.”

The girl on the megaphone then accuses GWU’s Board of Trustees of profiteering off the “genocide” of Palestinians, and after the other students loudly proclaim them “guilty,” she yells, “To the guillotine!”

A group of anti-Israel protesters stole the keys to a building at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago campus on Saturday and barricaded themselves inside for several hours, despite being offered amnesty, administrators said.
A group began protesting in the north garden property at the campus before shoving a security guard and taking the keys to a museum, an Art Institute spokesperson told Fox News Digital. They then blocked emergency exits and barricaded the gates, officials said.
The school offered the protesters an alternative location to continue their protest on campus, which was was refused, officials said.

At least 25 anti-Israel protesters were arrested at the University of Virginia campus Saturday as authorities tried to clear an encampment, the school said.
Campus police declared an “unlawful assembly” earlier in the day after UVA Police Chief Tim Longo gave a group of anti-Israel protesters near the University Chapel 10 minutes to leave the area.
At 8:15 a.m., officials tried to collect tents and were met with “agitation and chanting” from protesters, the school said in a news release.
“Authorities were again met with agitation, chanting and violent gestures such as swinging of objects,” the school said. “Beginning at around 2:30 p.m., UPD gave the crowd three verbal warnings that an unlawful assembly would be declared if demonstrators refused to leave the area.”

A judge in Arizona has rejected a motion to lift the suspension of twenty students arrested during anti-Israel protests at Arizona State University (ASU). The U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona denied the students’ request on Friday, as reported by local outlet ABC 15.
The defendants, who filed a lawsuit against the Arizona Board of Regents, argued that their suspension from ASU was causing “irreparable harm” by preventing them from enrolling in classes. They also claimed that the suspensions violated their First Amendment rights.

https://thelibertydaily.com/judge-slaps-down-motion-anti-zionist-protesters-end/

OVERALL OBSERVATION - Ripples continue in the college campus protests, but it seems the high water has been reached and things are ebbing.
Legal actions are on going and will depend on if the judges are liberal (Soros) activists - meaning no charges, or more legitimate that will hold these protestors accountable. The left PR spin is fully engaged trying to portray them as poor abused children. I really don’t think this view is gaining any traction - only the most brainwashed left would accept this. Your average american knows better.

The real hard leftist calls for the guillotine are more concerning, indicating that violence and even murder are on the books potentially for the riots i expect later this summer, post-political conventions.

Now that most colleges and universities have had or soon will have their commencement exercises and the spring semester/quarter ended, most of these ‘children’ will be breaking for home, reducing the available sheeple for an immediate continuation of riots except by those outsiders (Antifa).

Terrorism - Heightened THREAT as of downgraded APR 20, 2024

At least three synagogues and a museum in New York received bomb threats on Saturday but none were deemed credible by the New York Police Department, a city official and police said.
Manhattan Borough President Mark D. Levine said on X the synagogue bomb threats were “a clear hate crime, and part of a growing trend of ‘swatting’ incidents targeting Jewish institutions.”
“This is a clear effort to sow fear in the Jewish community. Cannot be accepted,” he said.

NOTE - Holocaust memorials begin tonight thru the first part of next week.

Military / Strategic Activity / Deployments –

The Dwight D. Eisenhower CSG has transitioned from the Middle Eastern waters of the U.S. Central Command, where it has been stationed to the eastern Mediterranean Sea.

This strategic move was executed in conjunction with the guided-missile destroyer, USS Gravely, with both vessels navigating through the Suez Canal to reach their new location.

Russia -

WAR WATCH - into the third year of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine - Feb 24th, 2022

*****

NATO exercise Steadfast Defender indicates the alliance is preparing for a “potential conflict” with Russia, - Russian Foreign Ministry

Ukraine –

WEATHER FORECAST – Temperatures highs continue in the 60-70 range with some local highs into the 80s. Scattered periods of rain..

24 HOUR ROUND UP –

Ukrainian air defense shot down 23 of 24 Shahed drones. Kharkiv and Dnipro regions targeted. Ukrainian Military shot down Su-25 aircraft in Donetsk region.

Another heavy day of ground fighting.

Ocheretyne -

Russian forces continue to press westward from Ocheretyne.

Bakhmut / Chasiv Yar -

Heavy fighting continues as Ukraine attempts to seal up the Russia crossing of the canal on the town’s east side and Russia attempts to force northward into the edge of Chasiv Yar.

Outlook —

Russia continues its advances, they have done so with substantial losses of late. Ukraine, besides shortages of ammo, is also facing shortages in manpower. Until now that wasn’t too critical since on defense, conventional wisdom indicates that your opponent must have a 3;1 superiority in manpower. Ukraine offset this by having good, effective artillery support. Now its down to boots on the ground, and Russia has the advantage there.

Expect fighting to continue to focus on the Ocheretyne and Chasiv Yar areas.

ISRAEL –

On Sunday evening, May 5, begins the Israeli holiday known around the world as “Holocaust Remembrance Day”, or “Yom HaShoah” (shoah being the Hebrew word for holocaust).

Key overnight developments -

- Confusion over just what Hamas is accepting as part of the hostage release / ceasefire deal.

——— GENERAL ——————————-

Lest we forget - there are still hostages being held in Gaza.

***

Advisor to the head of the Hamas Political Bureau: The ceasefire in Gaza is linked to responding to our demands.

***
Israel’s military is poised to enter into Rafah, the last major stronghold of Hamas in Gaza, without a deal for the release of the hostages. But Hamas still wants to continue negotiations to end the war.

Israeli troops and tanks continue to gather near Rafah for the expected military operation. Rafah is where many believe the leaders of Hamas, including Yahya Sinwar, are hiding as well as the remaining battalions of Hamas fighters. It’s also thought to be the location of the last remaining hostages.
While Hamas seems to reject the latest ceasefire offer, it apparently wants negotiations to continue, a tactic that could be intended to forestall the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) Rafah invasion.

But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says they will move ahead with their plans for an assault.
“We will do what is necessary in order to win and overcome our enemies, including in Rafah, in order to secure our future,” Netanyahu pledged.
(Fox News)

***
Israeli officials on Saturday night vehemently denied reports that the government has agreed to end the war against Hamas as part of an emerging hostage deal.

According to the reports, the Biden administration had conveyed guarantees to Hamas that the deal currently being discussed would culminate with a full Israel Defense Forces withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
“Contrary to reports, Israel will under no circumstances agree to the end of the war as part of an agreement to release our hostages,” an official in Jerusalem was quoted as saying by Hebrew-language media.
“The IDF will enter Rafah and destroy the remaining Hamas battalions there—with or without a temporary respite to allow for the release of our hostages,” added the source.

——— GAZA FRONT ———————————-
IDF continues to strike targets of opportunity across Gaza. Bombing and artillery strikes concentrated in N, Central and S Gaza.

——— LEBANON / HEZBOLLAH——————————-

Continued exchanges of fire between IDF and Hezbollah.

———WEST BANK——————————-

Israeli security forces continues to raid numerous areas, arresting terrorism suspects.

———“ISLAMIC RESISTANCE” ———————————

Houthis claiming that they may begin targeting ships again in the Red Sea.

——— FORECAST ————————-

As I’ve said before, Hamas is wielding the hostages as a tool to thwart and delay Israeli operations. Playing a ‘cooperation’ card while doing a Hans Solo shot under the table. I am not expecting any kind of a deal short of total capitulation by Hamas, which will never happen. They are in martyr mode. They will do what ever it takes to make it look like Israel is the bad guy - and international media will carry the story front page.

Africa general –

Russian military personnel have entered an airbase in Niger that is hosting American troops, after a decision by Niger’s junta to expel US forces from the country.

A senior US defence official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters that Russian forces were not mingling with US troops but were using a separate hangar at Airbase 101, which is next to Diori Hamani international airport in Niamey, Niger’s capital.

Misc of Note –

I noted at the top of the post the relative ‘quiet’. In previous years this would be thunderous noise, but as trends go, bigger ‘events’ are occurring that have raised the sound level far above what it was even a year ago.

So what are the ‘big stick’ items for May?

- WHO finalizes the pandemic ‘treaty’

- Play out of Hamas hostage game and the Israel operation in Rafah

- Disintegration of lawsuits against Trump, and resulting leftist uproar

- biden continues to crash in polls and losing support from historically reliable democrat allies

Even bigger fish are on the horizon for this summer

- Start of the Israel campaign to remove Hezbollah from S Lebanon

- leftist / Antifa attempts to recreate 2020 riots, likely trying to use the political conventions as jump off points

- Further economic turmoil that may provide better sense of what to expect later in the year.

There are others I’m concerned with but with lower potentials for occurring including

- biden declaring a national emergency (insert cause here) to affect the elections

- China moves on Taiwan before the elections

- Terror attacks of varying scale and effectiveness.

So I guess we should be thankful for a little ‘quiet’ because the storm is coming.

Every election cycle is getting worse that the last.

No matter what the outcome of this election, I see a very bad situation.

If Trump wins, the left will lose their collective minds and I expect a great deal of violence and anarchy, making 2016 look tame.

If the democrats complete the steal, they will have a free hand to finish their destruction of this country. Right now they are worried about optics and I see them holding back some. And considering how bold they have been, if this is holding back, it will be hell once they have no reason for restraint.

People need to plan for a really rough few years ahead of us. And that includes prepping to mostly avoid having to put yourself in dangerous situations when even doing something as basic as grocery shopping.

I also see a lot of supply chain disruptions. It would be good to do an inventory at home of things needed to repair and replace parts for cars and tools, etc.

CW2 / Domestic violence - Heightened THREAT

Apart from some commencement disturbances over the weekend, the campus pro-hamas efforts are definitely on the ebb. Consequences to participants are coming down and the mind-numbed sheeple are getting a dose of reality.

***
Following the money supporting the pro-Hamas demonstrations over the past several months that cumulated in the campus take-overs of recent. The donors include some of the biggest names in Democratic circles: Gates, Soros, Rockefeller and Pritzker, according to a POLITICO analysis.
“Two of the main organizers behind protests at Columbia University and on other campuses are Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow. Both are supported by the Tides Foundation, which is seeded by Democratic megadonor George Soros as well as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and it in turn supports numerous small nonprofits that work for social change. …

Another notable Democratic donor whose philanthropy has helped fund the protest movement is David Rockefeller Jr., who sits on the board of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. In 2022, the fund gave $300,000 to the Tides Foundation; according to nonprofit tax forms, Tides has given nearly $500,000 over the past five years to Jewish Voice for Peace, which explicitly describes itself as anti-Zionist.

Several other groups involved in pro-Palestinian protests are backed by a foundation funded by Susan and Nick Pritzker, heir to the Hyatt Hotel empire — and supporters of Biden and numerous Democratic campaigns….”

Further investigations link Goldman Sachs to the list.
Another - is Lina Khan, Chairwoman of the Federal Trade Commission. To be fair, though, she is an “intellectual” supporter of anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism, not a financial supporter. A sample:

In July 2022, Khan and FTC Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter spoke at an event that was hosted by the [Law and Political Economy (LPE) Project, which supported the pro-Palestinian protesters involved in the encampment at Columbia University].

During this event, the two spoke about “anti-racist antitrust” and how the FTC can “shape markets and economic outcomes.”

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/05/who-is-paying-for-the-protests.php

OBSERVATION - Big biden supporters undercutting the regime - or are they? I’ve noted before a behind the doors conflict between the traditional democrats who support Israel and the radical leftists like the above trying to drive US policy against Israel.

What is shocking is that it is taking Politico to put the funding sources on the front page so to speak - which may also point to the internal struggle between traditional and progressive democrats on the issue.

***
According to an investigation by the Wall Street Journal, activist individuals and groups — some of whose experience goes back to the 1960s — had been helping to plan and train students in protest tactics going all the way back to March 2023.

At Columbia University, student organizers consulted with National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) as well as Black Lives Matter and other left-wing groups experienced in organizing protests.

As early as October, NSJP was promoting a “day of resistance” with protests at colleges. It appears that the nationwide network of loosely connected radical-left activist groups that activates every time there’s a “cause” to agitate for latched on to the divestment issue promoted by NSJP and ran with it.

https://pjmedia.com/rick-moran/2024/05/04/activist-groups-trained-students-for-months-prior-to-protrests-n4928778

OBSERVATION - This doesn’t totally shock me as it takes planning in advance to try to gin up rioting for the 2024 election season. Anti-Semitism has always been favored by the hard left and it appears that this training/recruiting/planning accelerated with the onset of the Gaza war last October. This ties into the reports that at many protest sites, a significant number of the participants were not students, but hardened Antifa/BLM types.

***
And in the Antifa stronghold of Portland OR, 14 police cars were burned to a crisp over the weekend, some linking it to the campus protests at Portland U.

Terrorism - Heightened THREAT as of May 6, 2024

Impending Israeli operation in Rafah increases the potential for sympathetic, lone wolf attacks here and globally.

Wuhan and other “new” Plandemics –

The New York Times is reporting that H5N1 “has acquired dozens of new mutations”, and apparently some of them “may make it more adept at spreading between species”…

The bird flu virus sweeping across dairy farms in multiple states has acquired dozens of new mutations, including some that may make it more adept at spreading between species and less susceptible to antiviral drugs, according to a new study.

A dairy worker in Texas that caught this version of the bird flu did not die, but he did experience “bleeding in his eyeballs”…

“The first image of a Texas farm worker infected with bird flu from a cow shows he suffered bleeding in his eyeballs.”

https://endoftheamericandream.com/the-h5n1-bird-flu-has-acquired-dozens-of-new-mutations-and-authorities-are-really-ramping-up-the-fear-level/#google_vignette

OBSERVATION - To me this is more reporting of a fear mongering manner. The warnings of massive loss of human life is based on versions of the disease from the 2008 time frame - and the virus has undergone significant mutations since then. I continue to see this as a potential threat to force culling of our cattle - to eliminate that area of ‘global warming’ without using the term.

POLITICAL FRONT –

Again, don’t bet the farm on this, way toooooo early, but democrat friendly ABC poll shows biden and former President Donald Trump are locked in a virtual tie for the presidency, with Trump edging out Biden by 2 percentage points in the overall results. Rasmussen shows a 10 point Trump lead.

***
Special Counsel Jack Smith admitted in a court filing that he lied to the court about the classified documents seized from Mar-a-Lago.

In a motion filed late Friday, Jack Smith admitted the FBI messed with the boxes containing “classified” documents they seized from Trump and can’t be sure the order or the placement of the documents.

In a May 1 filing, Walt Nauta’s attorney claimed he had difficulty in cross-referencing materials in classified and unclassified discovery because “certain items in the seized boxes he reviewed were in a different order from where they appear in the scans of the boxes’ contents produced in discovery.”

Jack Smith in his Friday night response admitted the FBI moved the classified documents around.

According to a footnote in the motion reviewed by The Gateway Pundit, the FBI messed with the boxes containing the ‘classified’ documents they seized from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

The DOJ previously assured the Court that the placement of classified documents as originally found had been maintained – THEY LIED!

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/05/president-trump-calls-jack-smith-be-arrested-after/

OBSERVATION - The continuation of this prosecution hangs by a thread. The judge has been very critical of Smith’s handling of the whole affair and may scholars like Dershowitz say it should be thrown out. Lying to the court is a BIG issue in any case, and unreacted discoveries have been ripping Smith’s case apart already. This discovery follows that indicating that the WH and the national archives may have conspired to place documents in Florida to frame trump.

RUMINT –
Persistent rumors that the French Foreign Legion has deployed elements to eastern Ukraine. Units designated are known to be experts in tropical warfare - unlikely to be deployed in the eastern Ukraine environment.

24 HOUR ROUND UP –

Ukrainian air defense shot down 12 of 13 Shahed drones. Areas targeted include the Sumy and Dnipro regions. Russian drone attack damaged critical power infrastructure in Sumy.

Ukraine still struggling on all fronts. Overnight Russian Ministry of Defense claimed control over Kotliarivka village of Kharkiv region and Solovyove village west to Avdiyivka

The Russian military reportedly redeployed a battalion of the 76th Airborne (VDV) Division to Kursk Oblast as part of a larger ongoing Russian effort to gather an operationally significant force for a possible future Russian offensive operation against northeastern Ukraine and Kharkiv City. The size of this potential operation at this stage of preparation large enough to hold Ukranian forces in place and prevent redeployment to critical areas of the ongoing Russian offensive.

Britain has reportedly authorized Ukraine to expand the territory that it can use its cruise missiles at - expanding it to Russia.

Outlook —

Russia will maintain the initiative on the ground, continuing to press breakthroughs in the Bakhmut/Chasiv Yar and Ocheretyne regions. Russian missiles will continue to hammer civilian and infrastructure targets in the face of degraded Ukraine air defenses.

France and some of the other European nations are pushing harder to involve their forces in the war in the effort to turn back perceived eventually Russian attacks on other western nations. This is concerning and I’m watching to see if there are any false flags events that happen that could trigger direct on the ground involvement. Right now, many assess the claims of the FFL on the fronts as false - possibly part of a disinformation campaign.

Europe / NATO General –

——— LEBANON / HEZBOLLAH——————————-

Continued exchanges of fire between IDF and Hezbollah.

Israeli artillery shelled an Iranian-backed militia site in Southwestern Syria which launched several missiles overnight towards the Golan Heights in Northern Israel.

———WEST BANK——————————-

Israeli security forces continues to raid numerous areas, arresting terrorism suspects.

——— FORECAST ————————-

Indicators are that ground operations into Rafah could be a little as hours away, though more likely within a few days. Air strikes preparing the battlefield and IDF pushing to get civilians out of the initial combat areas. Currently, from the map at the link above, it appears that IDF will initially be moving into a lightly populated area south of the town with some initial incursions into the town proper.

Global response will be negative - even in spite of Hamas using designated refugee areas in Rafah to fire mortars/rockets into the Kerem Shalom crossing. Concerning are the reports that biden is withholding ammo because he isn’t getting his way on Israeli policy.

Hezbollah/Iranian positions are relatively muted on the onset of the final major battle to eliminate Hamas. Both have been stung hard by Israel of late and in the case of Hezbollah, Israel continues to hammer leadership and key facilities.

Central / South America General-

Jose Raul Mulino, the stand-in candidate for disqualified former President Ricardo Martinelli, was declared Panama’s president-elect after elections Sunday.

Panama’s electoral authority announced Mulino’s win, after he garnered 34.4% of the votes, with over 85% of the votes counted.

“I promise to the country at this time to put together, to establish, a government of unity as soon as possible,” Mulino said after electoral officials called him to confirm he had won the presidency.

Last year, the country also saw more than half a million people cross the Darien Gap — a thick jungle region — as they tried to reach the US from South America.

Mulino has pledged to end migration through the Darien Gap and to return the economy to its heyday under Martinelli’s previous presidency.

https://www.dw.com/en/panama-election-mulino-declared-president-elect/a-69001446?maca=en-rss-en-top-1022-rdf

OBSERVATION - This appears to be a more favorable govt toward the US, shifting to the right. More so if Trump is elected. China has exerted considerable control over the country over the past many years and this could begin to allow a shift away.
