A federal judge rejected Project Veritas’s First Amendment argument in a case that involves Ashley Biden’s abandoned diary.
Last year the two individuals who found Ashley Biden’s diary at a halfway house pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property.
The guilty plea of Florida pair Robert Kurlander, 59, and Aimee Harris, 41, were used to turn the screws on James O’Keefe.
Harris found Ashley Biden’s diary at a halfway house in Palm Beach in 2020 and sold it to Project Veritas for $40,000.
Ashely Biden, Joe Biden’s youngest daughter, left her diary under a mattress at the Palm Beach rehab home.
In a January 2019 entry, Ashley Biden recalled how she used to shower with her father, Joe Biden, and suggested it may have contributed to a sex addiction.
The diary describes Ashley and her father Joe Biden taking showers together at an inappropriate age.

I am a bit confused. If Harris “FOUND” the diary, how does it become theft. If I find an object, is there something written somewhere that I have to turn it in.
It’s just another unconstitutional decision by a Dem judge which hopefully will be overturned by the Supreme Court.
Well, even if Project Veritas loses, they have no money anyway. As long as they cannot go after OMG or O’Keefe personally…

Extremism always results in an extreme opposite reaction. These radical judges are just setting the stage for a number of changes that will see their power to legislate from the bench and violate their oaths with impunity drastically reduced. Also, they may experience some of their immunity disappear as well. In other words, their decisions may have negative consequences for them instead of everyone else.

Why was\is O’Keefe-Project Veritas even being tried ?
No. It’s abandoned property. The finders’ theft charge was a plea deal wringed out of scared citizens who could not afford a defense against a Federal Government prosecution, who prints their own money. This is the main reason behind the “99% conviction rate” touted by the feds. Nearly all of them are compelled pleas under such circumstances.
Now that there’s a conviction, the abandoned property is now ‘stolen’ property.
Never before heard or read of any prosecution for a lost diary by anyone. This is an exception strictly because it belonged to the daughter of the pres where she recounts her sexual abuse by her father.
The reason it was prosecuted as theft is because they could perform legal extortion. The prosecutor threatened to throw them in jail for a long long time, or please misdemeanor guilty and this all goes away tomorrow and you get an insignificant fine and everything disappears tomorrow. That way we can use ‘stolen’ against James O’Keefe.
If you don’t agree to this we’ll just prosecute the heck out of you until you’re broke and then we’ll send you to jail anyway.
They knew that the diary was not stolen they just needed a stolen conviction and did whatever they could to get it
If Ashley was still sleeping in the bed when the girl “found” the diary then theft would be correct.
