Texas Gov. Greg Abbott recently decided in ordering his Texas military force and state police to retake “Fronton Island” by force and to hold it, come what may.

Ken Paxton has been suing the obama admin over issues like this for years. That is why the dims and rinos wanted to get rid of him. And in defense of Abbott, even though he is a finger in the wind governor, he did the same thing to the first 2 obama admins as well.

A bit more: Paxton was attacked by the very liberal Dallas Morning News right after he won his first election. They accused him of being everything but a white man.
They knew who he was and wanted to destroy him any way they could.

I’m sure the Cartel has good intel and knew when to vacate for now. Mexico was “cooperating” on their border in the area. Taking and abandoning islands in the Rio Grande happens from time to time.

Just look at state borders along the Mississippi - the map line doesn’t move, which led to some odd ‘oxbow’ pieces of states not contiguous with their claiming state.

There is some area by OK and TX where the River controls.
Obama managed to make oil exploration impossible in OK along an area and tried to ignore the River moved the border. Not sure how it came out.
