DeSantis Breaks With 70% of Republicans in Telling NBC ‘Trump Lost’
National File ^ | August 7, 2023 | JAKE WELCH

Posted on 08/07/2023 1:48:14 PM PDT by SoConPubbie

Ron DeSantis has broken with 70 percent of the Republican base, telling NBC News, “Of course [Trump] lost: Joe Biden’s the President.” The stunning remarks, though caveated with complaints about mail-in voting and ballot harvesting, are unlikely to endear DeSantis to his party’s voters, a majority of whom are already soured by the Florida Governor’s lackluster campaign and toxic online strategies.

DeSantis, who has spent the last two weeks watching some of his chief donors abandon his beleaguered presidential campaign, told NBC News: “Whoever puts their hand on the Bible on Jan. 20 every four years is the winner,” before being pressed for a “yes or no” answer as to whether or not Trump lost.

“No, of course he lost: Joe Biden’s the President,” he shot back, before going on to blame Trump for “turn[ing] the government over to Fauci” and signing the CARES Act which funded mail-in ballot expansion. In reality, the CARES Act was supported by almost every Republican in Congress – a fact which seems to have escaped DeSantis’s attention.

DeSantis is currently projected to lose in every state in the Republican nominee race to Donald Trump and is forecasted just 159 delegates votes, trailing the former President by over 2,000.

You are funny. Biden held rallies but no one came.
Big cities are filled with liberals. That’s a given.
Big cities are also being destroyed by Liberals.
The worm is turning and people are waking up.

The Country with Trump as POTUS has more opportunity for everyone 6K more in the average household yearly income, cheaper energy, cheaper gas & goods. People are much worse off now under the boot of the left and people are not stupid.
What a typical liberal mindset you have. Trump is hated by everyone, I post pictures of thousands of people who love Trump but that doesn’t count.

https://waysandmeans.house.gov/biden-flation-burned-through-26-million-low-income-households-savings-and-then-some/
The typical family now has to spend $450 more per month to buy the same goods and services they did a year ago, prompting more Americans to rely on loans and credit cards to make ends meet, even as the Federal Reserve makes borrowing more expensive.

Gas prices have more than doubled since President Biden took office, which means the average American family will spend $5,000 on gas, a 78 percent increase from a year ago.
For six months in a row, Main Street businesses have faced double-digit inflation, causing optimism to plummet to the lowest point in nearly 50 years.

I admire DeSantis for admitting the cold, hard, truth. He knows it won’t be popular, but good medicine often tastes bad too.

Biden is President. How come? He won the election. That’s how it works, for those who may not be sure.

Trump had opportunity to contest it. He was donated $250 million to fight it. But what did he do? He took that money and ran, and used it for rallies in 2022, not to contest the election in 2021 like people expected.

Those who believe the fairy tale that Trump “won” in 2020, are doomed to suffer the same fate in 2024. Maybe they should look up the word in the dictionary.

I was watching at 2 -2:30 a.m. as state after state stopped counting on election night 2020. At that point being a Delaware resident and knowing how the Biden crime family operates, I though the fix is in. No doubt in my mind the election was stolen. If DeSantis or Pence or any other RINO globalist collaborators are the nominees, I will vote 3rd party for the first time in my life.

I am from Chicago. That was my conclusion too.

Anyone who has argued with me at any time, want to argue with me now that Desantis is not just owned by the establishment money men???

Anyone?

He will be in single digits soon.

This is the problem with the GOP.. the establishment don’t care about conservatism or this country, let alone YOU... but they own the party, so all you are going to get is lip service at best.

This is why Trump exists in the first place... in 2016 the electorate was tired of the nation being sold out by these people, but not a single establishment candidate would even talk about the issues people cared about because those issue were what the money men wanted...

They wanted globalism, they wanted illegals... etc etc etc.

Desantis is just another establishment politician pretending he isn’t.

He will be in single digits shortly.

People really believe 70% of republicans think Trump won?

That’s some wishful thinking. I think if that were true his polls would be around 70%.

I think Trump’s approach in his first term was to try and work within the system. He likely felt he couldn’t change the Washington culture overnight, and that was probably with good reason. Don’t forget that Trump wasn’t just betrayed by people he appointed. Even more damaging was the betrayals of entrenched deep state bureaucrats who exist in department throughout government.

Most of the people responsible for Crossfire Hurricane were not appointed by Trump - people like Andrew McCabe, Peter Strozk, Lisa Page, etc. Much of the corruption in government occurs right under the noses of Cabinet Secretaries, or more accurately, behind their backs. Chain of command is ignored.

So there were a number of Washington insiders that Trump brought into his administration with the hope that they were honest enough that they could be a bridge between him and the Establishment. Many of those appointees betrayed his trust. But there is at least a silver lining. Those who betrayed him to the deep state were exposed.

Well, I wasn’t responding a question. But I’ll have a stab it at. I don’t know exactly how it’s going to change. But whatever the solution, it’s going to require exposure.

More and more American’s are going to have to wake up to the truth, more and more government employees are going to have to come out publicly and say, “No more”. It will require more whistleblowers, and more discrediting of the media’s lies until they can no longer say them with a straight face.

And of course, it means exposing the corruption head on, and not playing cute word games about election fraud like DeSantis is doing.

The extensive corruption - in particular the treason of the Bidens, and the theft of the 2020 election, for starters.

Add to that, the extensive corruption and politization of the justice department - charging people (e.g. Trump) with crimes they didn’t commit, and letting people off for crimes they did (e.g. Hunter and Joe Biden).

Buh-bye, Ron!
You just sealed your early retirement, pal.
It’s good to know this soon that you won’t be running in 2028.

What the 773H is wrong with Ron’s advisors?
Are they really such mutton-heads that they’d throw 70% of the conservative base off their team?
Good grief!
