Once again, the usual discord. On the one hand, U.S. envoy George Mitchell is in Israel to try — once again — to drum up Israeli-Palestinian peace talks that in President Obama’s vision are supposed to blossom, and in a rather short time, into an overall Arab-Israeli peace. On the other hand, the latest hit in the region is Jews as murderous organ harvesters. A story first offered by Algeria’s al-Khabar daily and now spreading like wildfire, the Jerusalem Post reports, in “the anti-Semitic blogosphere and many Arab and Muslim media outlets,” notably including Iran’s official Press TV agency, claims...

It was a sight to behold. President Barack Obama reverses himself on his promise to release interrogation (now redefined as "torture") photos and the entire leftwing blogosphere erupts in an explosion of anger. It was so bad that Cenk Uygur, host of the leftwing host of The Young Turks radio show, claimed that Obama was cowed into caving in to Dick Cheney as you can see in his Daily Kos post: This is an unbelievable moment. Dick Cheney's PR offensive over the last month actually worked. Barack Obama just crumbled and will follow Cheney's command to not release the new...

The complete intolerance of many on the left for diversity of opinion often goes beyond the mere wish to stifle the expression of opposing political viewpoints via the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" or by other means. Most recently there has been a disturbing new trend, voiced by those like Mike Malloy who called Republicans "domestic terrorists" and wants to prosecute them. So what was the reaction to Malloy's intolerance by his fellow leftwingers? Unfortunately, it was met by strong approval as one can see in this Democratic Underground thread titled, "Mike Malloy: The Republican Party Needs to be Eliminated." The posts...

Attention all shrinks! You will have a field day analyzing the incredibly childish BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) exhibited by this Hate Bush thread over at the Democratic Underground. The author of the thread, William Rivers Pitt, is a real piece of work. In case you never heard of Pitt, he was a perpetrator, along with former fashion photographer and Truthout publisher, Marc Ash, and "investigative reporter" Jason Leopold of one of the biggest journalistic hoaxes of this decade: the supposed indictment of Karl Rove by Patrick Fitzgerald on May 12, 2006. All that Pitt managed to accomplish when the indictment...

The grass-roots, non-traditional media bloggers from across the country vying for credentials to cover the 2008 Democratic National Convention will have the chance to report while seated with their respective delegations, the Democratic National Convention Committee announced today. The Democrats are expanding the number of independent bloggers to receive the coveted passes into the convention hall in 2008. Less than 40 of these bloggers were credentialed in 2004. This year, The DNCC will award one credential to a local blogger from each of the state delegations and those delegations representing the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the American Samoa, the...

Back in July there was a post by jveritas: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1868512/posts That listed some of the prominent islamic terrorist websites and forums. Many of these were being hosted on servers here in the US. He listed the names of the companies and contact info and urged Freepers to contact them to get them shut down. Most of the sites he listed have since been shut down(at least here in the US) or no longer host jihadi content. I have however come across a few of the sites on the list and links that jveritas provided that make me suspicious that they...

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- The suspected gunman in the Virginia Tech shooting rampage, Cho Seung-Hui, was a troubled 23-year-old senior from South Korea who investigators believe left an invective-filled note in his dorm room, sources say. The note included a rambling list of grievances and ended with the words "Ismail Ax" in red ink on the inside of one of his arms.

Iowahawk Online Community Issues Forum Special by Ann Coulter and Bill Maher.ANN: Hello, I’m syndicated columnist and best-selling author Ann Coulter.BILL: And I’m Bill Maher, host of HBO’s “Real Time.”ANN: Today we want to talk to you about an issue that concerns both of us: the deterioration of civility in American politics.BILL: That’s right Ann, you anorexic Nazi whore. Even though we are on opposite sides of the political fence we can both agree that Americans of all political stripes need to start walking back from the hateful rhetoric that unfortunately characterizes much of our contemporary political discussion.ANN: I...

N.Korea says South's Web ban violates freedom Fri Jan 26, 10:40 AM ET North Korea said on Friday the South Korean government was violating the public's basic right to information by blocking access to Web sites sympathetic to the North. South Korea has denied access to more than 30 Web sites that it has designated "pro-North Korea" since 2004, including the North's official KCNA news agency's Web service and sites operated outside. "This is a fascist action against democracy and human rights as it infringes upon the South Koreans' freedom of speech and deprives them of even their right to...

London, Asharq Al-Awsat- For the second day running, extremist websites were clad in black, as they mourned the death of Iraq’s most wanted terrorist, Abu Musab al Zarqawi. While many sites speculated about Abu Mohammed al Masri, who the US army suggested would take over the helm of al Qaeda in Iraq, the bayaa, or ceremony to pledge allegiance to al Zarqawi’s deputy, Abu Abdel Rahman al Iraqi, appeared to have already started. An extremist leader, using a screen name, asked, “Could the American forces appoint a successor to al Zarqawi?” Others cast doubt about whether al Masri would take...

I've never posted on DU, but I've read it from time to time just for laughs. Today I decided to wade into the fray. They were wondering how many Young Republicans were going to sign up for the Armed Forces today as a result of the attacks in London. I posted this: Wait a minute... who do you think is in the military know? It's not leftwingers, it's Republicans. Why do you think so many of them supported Bush in the 2004 election? The real questions is when are you folks going to defend this nation? For this I was...

Teens Drag Cat to Death on Freeway (CBS 5 News)--Three valley teens face felony charges for animal cruelty and drug possession. A DPS officer pulled them over when he saw them dragging a cat from their car. The teens apparently tied long shoelaces around the cat’s neck and held the other end of the shoelaces out the window. Kim Nitzel of the Humane society says an animal autopsy proved the cat was still alive before it was drug down the freeway. The Humane Society has identified that the cat was an adult female. She was white with tabby markings. She...

An amateur bomb-maker in Suffolk County is in police custody this morning after testing the explosions in his back yard. Police charged 28-year-old Robert Rotella of Shore Manor with criminal weapons possession after they were told he accepted delivery of chemicals that were used to make explosives. He was arraigned yesterday in First District Court in Islip and released on his own recognizance. Rotella's neighbors simply said he is no threat to national security and that he makes fireworks for fun.

Anti-Semitism Raises its Head in Serbia Though very small in number, Serbia’s Jewish community is being increasingly targeted by an array of ultra-nationalist groups. By Dragana Nikolic-Solomon and Ljubisa Ivanovic in Belgrade (BCR No 544, 04-Mar-05) The slogans hint at a future settling of accounts. "Juden Raus", "Achtung Juden", "Jews out of Serbia" and "Death to Jews and Gipsies", they proclaim, the words providing a chilling echo of the Holocaust that decimated European Jewry more than half a century ago. But few Jews actually see these slogans in Serbia today. Providing ample proof of the claim that anti-Semitism doesn't need...

Islamists target Christian journalist on website Christian journalist and long-time friend of Internet Haganah, Jeremy Reynalds has been targeted for killing by Islamists on the Al Ansar forum (ansarnet.ws).The thread:www.ansarnet.ws/vb/showthread.php?t=27276In a thread on the Houston-based site, the person who ran the now-defunct mawsuat.com site starts by blaming Reynalds for the site's demise, posts a POBox address for Reynalds, and asks if anyone else has more information about him.In the discussion that follows, the Islamists first post Reynald's home address so that he might be "visited", then a picture of him and a wish that his ribs should be broken, and...

[snip] with the astonishing new poll released by the Military Times yesterday. That poll of 1,423 active members of the military indicates that the armed forces of the United States are passionate supporters of the Coalition's efforts in Iraq. Support for the war inside the military stands at 60 percent, 25 percent higher than the latest Gallup measurement of the American people as a whole. When it comes to President Bush's handling of the war effort, the results are even more lopsided. Only 42 percent of Americans approve, according to ABC News. In the military, Bush garners 63 percent support....

Yesterday many of us were lucky enough to hear Randi Rhodes SLAMMING Bev Harris on Err America after shilling for Bev for weeks. When I heard about this I was all excited to listen to the Randi Rhodes show rerun which is played every morning on 940 AM radio here in South Florida. However, when I listened in this morning, that interview was mysteriously GONE. I checked in on the online Randi Rhodes archives and that interview segment was also mysteriously GONE. A couple of other archive searches and the same result. The interview was edited OUT. Obviously Randi Rhodes...

"Is it morally and theologically acceptable to hope anyone goes to hell? ... One...need not be a conservative Christian to believe in some form of hell for the evil. All one need be is a rational believer in a just God. For if there is a just God, it is inconceivable that those who do evil and those who do good have identical fates. A just God must care about justice, and since there is little justice in this world, there has to be in the next. And belief in the next world is also not confined to Christianity. As...

hello everyone. i have posted a few times regarding the site i created, www.moveOut.biz well, the business side of it has failed. no matter, it was a small investment and i've had fun. i would, however, appreciate it if any of you who lurk at DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND could get the word out over there that this site exists. the most fun i've had is with the few emails i've received from the tin-hatters. i tried to get on DU but was summarily banned even though i picked the che guevara avatar. i appreciate any help you can give in funneling...

My original article was going to show the difference between comments made on conservative and liberal blogs, regarding the Battle of Fallujah. Most Americans view the Battle of Fallujah as a defining moment in the fight against the terrorists in Iraq. I started viewing some of the Democrat blogs like Dailykos, and Bop News, and then I came across Democraticunderground.com. After reading the comments on that website, my blood was boiling and my hair was raised. Immediately, I erased all the other Anti-American/ Anti- Bush comments that I had compiled from the other liberal sites. Dummocraticunderground stole the show. After...

Look at this:The Diebold GEMS central tabulator contains a stunning security holeSubmitted by Bev HarrisThu, 08/26/2004 Issue: Manipulation technique found in the Diebold central tabulator -- 1,000 of these systems are in place, and they count up to two million votes at a time. By entering a 2-digit code in a hidden location, a second set of votes is created. This set of votes can be changed, so that it no longer matches the correct votes. The voting system will then read the totals from the bogus vote set. It takes only seconds to change the votes, and to date...

As most FReepers already know, Winter Soldier is an online project of The Free Republic. It exposes the nefarious acivities of John Kerry during the War in VietNam. It also has a "poll", which asks the question: "Should a man who FALSELY accused American troops of atrocities, serve as Commander-In-Chief"??? The answer choices are: (sure) (no) (HELL NO!!) During the last 24 hours, left wing flamers have turned the poll into a joke. Over 250 additional votes of "sure" have been cast. Can you imagine??? 2099 people said "sure"??? Unbelievable, isn't it. It just goes to show you what we're...

By now I'm sure you've heard of www.democraticunderground.com ... a website where your Democrat neighbors can go to trade ideas and thoughts about this year's election. One of our alert listeners lifted a few postings on this website that I thought you might enjoy. Here, my friends, are your loving, compassionate Democratic neighbors at work. Why don't we all sit back and let them chose our next president ... waddaya say? Here's the first post: As we've heard again and again recently, if we are going to beat this bunch of rule breaking GOP misanthropes, we're going to have to...

On Oct. 30, America suffered its bloodiest day in Iraq since major combat operations ceased when a CH-47 "Chinook" helicopter was downed by a surface to air missile. Sixteen soldiers were killed. Not everyone in America was unhappy. "I hope the bloodshed continues in Iraq," said "Starpass," a poster on the Democratic Underground weblog. "The only way to get rid of this slime bag...government...relies heavily on what a s**t-hole Iraq turns into. (American soldiers) need to die...to show these ignorant, dumb Americans that Bush is incompetent." Most of the posters on the Democratic Underground criticized "Starpass," but a distressingly large...

THE POST: Here's what Democratic Underground didn't want you to see: I Hope the Bloodshed Continues in Iraq Well, that should bring the bats out of the attic with fangs dripping. I won't be hypocritcal. It is politically correct, particularly in any Dem discussion to hope and pray and feel for our troops and scream "bring them back now". I'm fighting something bigger. I'm a 58 year old broad and I can tell you that what is going on in our country isn't the usual ebb and flow of politics where one party is in power and then another; where...

Civics teacher running for state House by Marcia Lane Palatka Daily News A high school civics and government teacher is seeking to have a say in government by running for state representative. Democrat Jerald Cumbus, 35, thinks the time is right for his campaign for the District 21 seat currently held by Republican Joe Pickens. Pickens is finishing his first two-year term in office. "Every semester, I tell seniors 'If you don't get involved and make a commitment as voters or citizens, you might as well pack your bags and live in China'" said Cumbus. At the very least, he...
