Former Vice President Mike Pence said he “cannot defend what is alleged” in the federal indictment against Trump.
Meanwhile, Mike Pence illegally stored classified documents at his Carmel, Indiana home but he was not charged.
Trump lawfully stored his presidential records at his Mar-a-Lago estate and Biden’s DOJ hit him with a 37-count indictment related to the handling of classified records.
Pence said that after reading the 49-page indictment, he cannot defend the criminal allegations against Trump
“I cannot defend what is alleged. The very prospect that highly classified material could have fallen into the wrong hands even inadvertently, jeopardizes our national security. The former president has a right to his day in court,” Pence said Wednesday on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

This is such BS. Every single President does this. But only Trump gets in trouble. It’s always a process crime.
Pence, and everyone in DC knows exactly what’s in the documents, and he plays along with the crowd to pretend it’s got to be something horrible.

If that is the legal case, then it is all prosecutorial discretion/choice, as it could have been the case against Bill Clinton (with classified material in his sock drawer), against Hillary Clinton for the classified documents kept out of government control on her private computer equipment when she was Secretary of State, as well as Joe Biden over classified materials he was not even legally allowed to have, collected when he was Senator and Vice President. But “prosecutors” declined to prosecute all those other cases.
And when did this get delivered....5 days???10 days???? before Trump left office? Where's the delivery receipt. In other words...they were his....and effectively, any classified documents were now declassified. (I think Jim Jordan came up with the same thought.)
