I’m still getting choked up. Spent the whole weekend mourning the loss of a dear friend, And I never met the man.

Same here. Dreaded the day he would be gone and feel the same that I’ve lost a best friend I never met.

We will follow his wishes.

Very difficult day today listening to the radio with Kathryn talking and taking questions. Amazing woman! Gracious and composed. Much more composed than myself. I knew the day was coming, but I still wasn’t prepared for it. Changed my life....

I just never thought he’d be gone so soon. I had so hoped he would be back once again, one more time. I am so deeply saddened, grieving that it was not to be. We will miss him very much.

I first learned about Rush in 1990. I was lamenting, fearful over what we were about to face in the Middle East with the start of the first Gulf war. My dear auntie said to me at the time, not to be worried, that I needed to listen to Rush Limbaugh. And I remember thinking...Who? And that was the beginning of my love affair with dear Rush Limbaugh.

Since Rush announced his cancer diagnosis, I have not wanted to miss even one show. I have made sure that every day I was tuned in between 12:00 and 3:00 to hear Rush. Such a great loss. Thank you, dear Rush. All I can say is thank you so very much.

For a man I never met or spoke to in person I feel like I’ve lost a dear friend. I tried listening to the show this morning with Mark Steyn and Rush’s wife Kathryn, but gave up after a few minutes. The man simply can’t be replaced. That said, I’m starting to listen more to Charlie Kirk. Didn’t realize he’s only 27. He’s got a big future ahead of him for sure.

Hard to believe Rush is gone. It was only perhaps 10 to 14 days ago he was making me laugh my butt off when he quickly pulled out his imitation of McCain. I used to love that impression. So glad he did it one more time. And the thing is, he sounded very sprite right to the very end. God knows how.

I’ve never heard or seen anyone making fun of him for the cochlear implants, but has anyone on here ever run into it?

I tried to listen to Kathryn, but stopped after a couple of minutes. I doubted she wanted to be on the air. Just what she needed, another obligation.

Not tru at all if you bothered to listen. She was on for 2 hours. Never once lost it while half the callers were really losing it. She talked everything about Rush, the books, the wedding, how they got elton john. She was very composed. Even Mark Stien in the beginning gave her an out. She is one tough elegant woman. Rush did good with her.

We all do Mark Levin.

Yip, Yip, Yip, Yahoo will never grace the airwaves again.

Such is life and death on this planet.

It is a very sad time.

Thank you Rush for the education and laughs while learning.

same here too, like losing the big brother I never had. I was a listener and fan from the beginning.

I personally experienced the generous an unselfish spirit that defined Rush Limbaugh that Mark Levin spoke of most .

A few months ago, right before Rush announced he had cancer, I got an e-mail asking for a short message about " how you got to know Rush Limbaugh ". No mention of any prize or anything like that. In fact I wonder how I got on the email list.( Unless it was when I sent an e-mail a few weeks before, I sent an email comment something about the election or something like a open line friday caller would do)

I wrote a short essay

about a month later I got this beautiful gift box delivered to my door and it was filled with high quality Rush Limbaugh memorabilia, a beautifully stiched 4x8 american flag with a signed rush tag sewn in the seam, an autograped photo in a nice frame and some autographed post it notes and a large coffee mug I use every day.

no note included or explaination, I guess I won.

I sure miss him every day

That’s the first time I’ve ever wept directly upon the hearing of a celebrity’s (for the lack of a better term) death, even though I knew it was coming.
Thank you Rush, you moved mountains...
