Meteorological fall started on September 1, astronomical fall arrived on Tuesday, September 22, 9:31 A.M. EDT. So no matter how you count, or what your temperature, it is time we bid adieu to summer, 2020.
With all of summers oppressive heat, cootie masks, closed businesses, wildfires and riots its hard to believe it will be missed but I will.
Still, Ill welcome fall and all its blazing glory for what it is - one more marker in times relentless cycle of death and rebirth.
And all at once summer collapsed into fall. Oscar Wilde
Summer temps have returned to these parts for a few days but the wise thing at this point is to put away the things of summer and get your favorite sweater out.
Because you know whats right around the corner.

Fall is one of the bast times, but its so short here. I consider it winter by the time all of the leaves are gone from the trees.
We had 3 days with frost here (Lebanon County, PA) and then with autumn its goteen a little warmer each day.
We are in serious need of rain or else out fall foliage may be underwhelming.
Unfortunately, we in Hurricane Country, have until November to fully swing out of summerfell.
We are getting a taste of it here in Atlanta.
Been nice here in north Georgia.
Poplars are starting to turn.
46 here last night, had to get an extra blanket.
We are getting ready to winterize the chicken house.
I had a chicken for a while, she came with the house.
Her name was Hen rietta. Had some chicks but they all
went missing. Probably feral cats. Been wanting some
Guineas, my grand parents always had them at their farm,
great watch birds.
I can’t wait! Down here in Texas, the summers are unbearable. We have had a few nice mornings, but have not reached the point yet when it will be comfortable to sit outside in the evening and smoke a cigar and enjoy a drink.
Fall is a great season for catching fish in the lakes and rivers.
It’s been pretty cool here in DFW for the last few weeks. It’s great!
