To my knowledge the AR in the article is in 9mm the magazine is the giveaway.
A .22lr AR platform will have a magazine that looks like a standard AR 15 mag but modified to accept .22LR ammo
Correct me if I am wrong. The picture is of an AR in the 9mm platform. The magazine in the giveaway. An AR in the .22 lr platform will have a magazine that looks very similar to a standard AR mag but modified for .22 LR.

Like the way you think. Plenty of ammo in our small KS town gun shop. Bought a box of .40 S&W this morning to replace rounds expended at the range. Getting used to my Glock 22, which is a bit heavier than my Ruger SR22. Minimum stock on hand is 120, but I may increase that depending upon circumstances. Take very good care.
