Polls are now open in New Jersey and Delaware, where voters are largely expected to vote by mail because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In New Jersey, the nearly all-mail primary is emerging as a test of the states ability to deliver a drama-free election in the face of critical tweets from President Donald Trump and state Republicans seeking federal election monitors.
The COVID-19 outbreak has forced lawmakers and state officials to prepare state and county election organizations for a surge in remote voting and it also delayed the usual June primary by a month.
While the deadline has passed for applications for ballots to arrive by mail, voters can still request mail-in ballots in person at their county clerks office until 8 p.m.
Mail-in ballots must be postmarked no later than July 7 and received by the county no later than July 14 to be counted.
Ballots can also be returned to one of dozens of dropboxes across the state; there are at least five in each county.
Voters can still cast a ballot in person.

Just looking at these dates for a primary, I predict we wont know the presidential outcome until December. Barely in time for the electors to meet. Its going to be a mess.
This voter is not voting by mail! In person voting for me only! But this is NJ, only RATS get voted in!
“Ballots can also be returned to one of dozens of dropboxes across the state; there are at least five in each county, and any Buick trunk will do.
The state of Delaware votes today in its 2020 POTUS Primary Election. Of course...these fools will probably cast their votes in the Democrat Primary for that bumbling idiot, Democrat, empty suit, and weak mind, Joe Biden!!! They should not vote for Biden at all. I look at all the lawlessness these Democrats have brought to our beloved country and I look at the shootings, the murders of innocent children that are now happening everyday in New York City, Chicago, Baltimore, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, etc. all Democrat Party Bastions, ruled by buffoons who are destroying our great nation republic!!!
Two great reasons not to vote for Joe Biden or, any Democrat, is yourselves and your families and loved ones!!! America is doomed and you are all doomed if Biden and company take control of the nation. It is as simple as that!!! A real, basic no brainer.....no Joe Biden, no Democrat ever...period!!! My Heart & Soul cry for those seven lost, innocent, ,murdered children this past weekend in Democrat Party paradise controlled cities!!! Both Obama & Biden losers, from head to toe!!! Your choice, fellow american voters!!!
POTUS, Trump is running on the Republican line today in Delaware. Every, and I mean everyone, that is a Trump supporter needs to turn out and vote today in the Delaware State POTUS Primary Election, for POTUS, Donald J. Trump..period. If Trump can pull in more votes then the brain dead Democrat, buffoon, moron, Joe Biden, in his home state, Delaware...it will be a fatal, major blow to the Biden campaign!!! Folks get off your butts, get out and vote today for Trumpie!!!
In Jersey, get out and vote Trump!
Here’s some endorsements, NJRTL
https://njrtl.org/njrtl-pac-endorsements-for-july-7-2020-primary-election/
ANYONE have an endorsement in the Senate Race?
Will anyone write in Kanye West?
Wow, this thread got quiet.
Not much drama in Jersey.
Van Drew, the Dem who opposed impeachment and then switched to GOP, wins easily in primary.
Senate primary is tight. I like Mehta.
I’ve not been following NJ Senate, 2 Indian guys.
Only a pitiful third of the vote in with many ballots that won’t even begin to be counted until next week.
Looks like the state GOP divided on regional lines.
Singh (the runner up in the CD-2 primary last time, he might have won over Van Drew) is ahead slightly, he was endorsed by the Cumberland, Cape May, Atlantic and Ocean County GOP organizations and he is carrying those counties by a wide margin. Mehta was endorsed by 15 county orgs (no endorsement from 2 I guess) and is carrying every country besides’s Singh’s 4 that has results reported.
Mehta is a Pharma exec, a good look? The southern GOPers are generally more conservative, no? Singh says he was a Trumper from the start and that Metha sold abortion pills. And I hear something about Metha working for the FDA, under Obama? Without going deeper I’m hoping Singh holds on.
In other news, Van Drew wins by a huge margin, he’ll face Ted Kennedy’s daughter in law, yes really.
Josh Gottheimer, who sadly seems invincible in CD-5, has a progtard primary challenger who would return the seat to us, Gottheimer is sadly up 2-1 but only 11% in.
In CD-3, a key pickup oppo, David Richter crushed Kate Gibbs. Ocean County v. Burlington. Gibbs sounds like a disaster, criminal record, but she still carried Burlington County. These county orgs in NJ can turn out primary votes, apparently
.
Thanks for the info.
I spent about 20 minutes looking for NJ Presidential primary results. All I could find was turnout numbers for Biden & Sanders (about 370K). No turnout numbers provided for Trump.
But adding up the NJ Republican Senator numbers, I see a total of about 150K votes.
Often when there is only one candidate they don’t report the vote totals, which is annoying.
FWIW
RICHTER is apparently a Pro-abort
Amy Kennedy has 1.3 million in campaign. PJ married a divorcee. Clean & sober, for now.
Information is muddled but it sounds like they both said they think first trimester should be allowed but otherwise not.
Richter didn’t want to talk about it.
RTL did not endorse but “recommended” Gibbs
But Richter’s campaign attacked her in a press release for saying she was pro-life even though she’s for first trimester and even though that is apparently his own position as well. Weird.
In any case, we don’t want to be dealing with her criminal record. Andy Kim is certainly way more pro-abortion than either of them. AUH2o pointed out that historically pro-choice Republicans in the House have been voting pro-life.
Glad to hear RICHTER is a good candidate. You do research fast.
Gibbs last incident was 2014. Too soon to be running for Congress. She should do something else
