The left thinks that Fauci is President now. So if there’s an existing immediate, effective cure/preventive for this he’ll quash it. There’s money to be made, and Trump to be blamed, in prolonging the panic.
We villagers need to be screaming for the king to make these meds available for everyone ASAP. We’re tired of being stifled.
The Villages is one of places in the US, given its demographics and density, for which a strict quarantine could and should be in place.
The powers that be need to worry more about the over-the-top STD numbers than WuFlu in The Villages.
The Villages has a population of about 110,0000.
Quarantines are as American as apple pie.

I don’t disagree. I can’t put my finger on it, but I feel there is something terribly wrong with the way we are approaching this entire thing.
I cannot elucidate any reasonable alternative for individuals to avoid getting the virus, but this entire approach seems like too big of a hammer to drive in too small of a nail.
I often suffer from a lack of imagination when it comes to analyzing things, it is an intellectual failing I often try to combat, and I feel that it is just that at the root of this national approach.
I just can’t put my finger on it and it frustrates me. I am a rule follower, to be sure, so I am going to follow the rules laid out because financially and at this point of my life, I can.
I worry about others not at my point of life, who can’t.

My brother has a place in Florida. LOTS of people leaving NY and the NE to come down to their vacation places in Florida. At his condo the condo has told them that they will be watching and helping to enforce the FL governor’s 14-day self-quarantine order.
$5,000 fine and 90 days in jail.
My brother still sees people he knows that just came down from NY and ignoring it. He yells at them - but don’t think he has snitched on them. Yet.
The average house spider does not result in dozens of spiders the following week, and then hundreds the week after, although that would be kinda cool until they started spinning webs.
But that analogy is roughly what we face with Wu Flu absent containment measures.
Forgot: FDOH is reporting 29 cases in ALL of Sumter County, not just the CDP of The Villages...
Until you are sick you wont get it.
I mind about the economy but to ignore somw initial precautions is being asleep and hoping the bad virus will just go away and that we don’t have to do anything initially to hold it down
You Villagers need to understand how your government works. The President cannot approve drugs by Executive Order.
How could a virus like this possibly spread in a state where tons of people from NY travelled to recently to escape their Cory and where a bunch of selfish spring breakers partied on? How?
There’s not much self-quarantin’ing going on. At least not the Ocala area. My daughter works at ABC Liquor and they are allowing her (and others) overtime to handle the extra business. Also, Walmart and Publix seem to have extra traffic, from what I saw yesterday...
Nope, it’s true. The US is not treating.
