"Never let a crisis go to waste, Rahm Emanuel famously said during the 2008 recession.
That same ethos is currently at play in the current Coronavirus crisis. Democrats have wasted no time using the health scare to push long-time progressive policy goals, including paid sick leave and universal health care.
During a recent Democratic press conference on the viral outbreak, Rep. Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) said the issue proved the need for paid family leave, collective bargaining, ObamaCare, expanding entitlements like Medicare and Medicaid all of which she said are now isues of national security.

No.
Nothing is stopping you from posting your whole blog right here.
Closing and sealing our borders and deporting illegal border jumpers will also solve coronavirus. Let’s roll.
“Universal Healthcare” is a piece of paper that says “I have insurance”.
How does that fight disease?
If you need more doctors, more hospitals, more medicine, a piece of paper does nothing.
Hmmm, the wife asked, “Does not China have universal health care?”
Universal healthcare will remediate the Corona virus?? How? Everyone with the virus will die in the waiting room waiting months to be seen by a physician!!!
If I own a business with 9 employees, plus myself on payroll....you are asking me to pay for ‘leave’ for 9-10 persons....and that request would most likely come on top of declining revenue in my business due to the effects of the virus & how quickly it is spreading.
I certainly cannot afford to pay 9 others when they are NOT working, and if they are NOT working, my business would likely have to close. IF I could run the business by myself, I wouldn’t need 9 employees, would I???
So-—I go bankrupt ‘paying for leave’ and then, there is NO JOB for anyone to come back to when the virus problems subside. I MIGHT be able to work just for myself-—who knows?
This is another attack by the Dems on small business & none of them seem to realize how many cogs on the wheel are the small businesses they re trying to bankrupt.
I was self-employed, doing bookkeeping for as many as 19 businesses. Going to a client as little as once a month-—or as often as 2-3 times a week. I got exposed to alot of people, and I would have had to ‘self-quarantine at home if I were still carrying that many clients.
I am down to one client in my retirement-—and I sent back his bookkeeping & year end forms in January-—for the 50th YEAR I have done his books. Sure love him for his loyalty.
Forcing businesses of ANY size to pay for employees having to stay home will bankrupt a large portion of the country. But- Since I never heard of a single Democrat who ever owned their own business with success, I am not surprised by their outright plans for stealing a business owner blind.
Even Jimmah Carter—who inherited a peanut farm—managed to file it for bankruptcy every 7 years like clockwork.
No, he's a blogger. He's asking you to click on his blog.
I got exposed to alot of people
I wouldn't do business with anyone who uses "ALOT" in that way.
You're probably not very good at whatever you do.
"ALOT" indeed.
Nothing is stopping you from refraining from being the social media equivalent of anal seepage, but here we are...
Well, you know, about that...
I’m not directing traffic from Free Republic to my blog in order
to read my opinion, am I? No? I’m not?
I guess you really have no idea what you’re crying about.
It’s not a blog, it’s a supercut, and they can’t be posted here. Sorry you don’t understand words.
It’s a blog, it’s your blog and it’s a pretty crappy piece of trash.
