What was going on CBS Tuesday night during the State of the Union? Do we need to file a slew of missing persons’ reports? Or was there a real-life Invasion of the Body Snatchers? Those answers seemed plausible considering CBS’s overwhelmingly positive reaction to President Trump’s speech.
In their post-speech reactions, CBS journalists praised the “master showman” President’s “incredible remarks” that, while “restrained,” showcased “a strong record on the economy” and “emotionally compelling stories” about “great Americans.” Even more surprisingly, the praise was juxtaposed with condemnation for Democrats.
CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell led off by noting that Trump “promised relentless optimism” and delivered “a speech unlike any other I have witnessed from [him] where the reality TV President took on the State of the Union, a master showman at his best.”
Face the Nation moderator Margaret Brennan agreed, telling O’Donnell that Trump was “[v]ery much the showman.”

Is it just possible that a legacy network has decided to clean up its act a bit since it sees that pdjt is winning ?
Except now, we have many other places to go for trustworthy news. Good god, during Reagan, all we there was was CBS,NBC, ABC and CNN. The only place to go was Radio...Rush.

Anyone with a few neurons firing knows at this point, Trump will be re-elected by a wide margin.
There eventually comes a point where you have to stop the bleeding... maybe CBS is reaching that point..
I also think they were rather stunned in that he didn't lash out over impeachment, and simply was positive.

Actually, it is best that CBS reported like this. The 2020 election is going to define the media. CBS getting on the right side of history will only boost their ratings and commercial rates.
O’Donnell and Brennan did not commit suicide.
Maybe Trump slipped them Ecstasy in their luncheon tipple.

I’ve been wondering if Trump made some inroads with the Puppet Masters in Davos. Maybe they don’t feel the Bern.
When (My Pillow) Mike Lindell guested on Life, Liberty and Levin he told Mark that multitudes of Americans love Trump, but they just didn’t know it yet. Being a cockeyed optimist, a la Rogers & Hammerstein, I have to believe some of Lindell’s opinion is coming to fruition.
A gang of bank robbers are captured and placed in separate interrogation rooms, then told; “whoever squeals first, gets the deal.” Maybe that’s CBS.
Being sour pusses doesn’t seem to play well with Democrat constituents & viewers.
