I’d figure with a FR screen name like yours you’d think prayer can make wonder happen.

You cut me to the quick! No, seriously. Our prayers do not always work the way we think they should. When we look at our revolution, I imagine there were people praying that Britain would change its treatment of their American colonies without resorting to war. Their prayers went unanswered. I imagine there were also people praying that the American colonies would go to war with Britain. Their prayers were answered. Similar prayers pro and con war were raised leading up to our civil war.

I pray that our nation turn from its wicked way so it may be healed. It's possible but the fact is that we are killing babies by the millions. Our leaders/government endorse, promote and protect perversion and other vile sins in the name of liberty. God is not mocked. If we as a nation do not change (repent), we will crumble.

On a positive note, a great example of a wicked nation repenting is that of Nineveh (the story of Jonah).

My prayer is that we have a rebirth in this nation so that we are led by men and women who are filled with Christ's Spirit. How we get there, I leave up to the Lord.
