Senate Republicans should release a list of every person they intend to subpoena 30 minutes before the House votes. Give the Donks plenty of time to mull over their decision.

She either has just got a deal wit Senate Repubs the vote to convict OR. The dems plan to attract the “corrupt” Senate Repubs endlessly over the next year to take back the Senate in 2020.
The Senate Repubs will cower like they always do and look weak for the next election and will probably lose due to it.

There’s only 3 Senate Republicans that might “feel” safe enough to vote to convict - Romney, Collins, & Murkowski.
Look at the election vote numbers (Rep voters vs Dem Voters) of the Senate Republicans. Now subtract 30% from the GOP votes. Do the GOP’ers still win? Any of them turn on Trump I think at least 30% ( I think more like 50%!) of their GOP support stays home (or votes 3rd party!) the next time they are up. The rank-n-file of the GOP belong to Trump. They know that, even if they are not up in 2020, betrayal won’t be forgotten. Nothing beats being a Senator (Except Prez & VPrez), no cabinet job, no corporate board job, no Beltway Bandit job, nothing! You take those jobs you move from one handing out taxpayer largess to others to just another schlub begging for handouts in front of a senator!
Of the 3. Murkowski is the one who sort of has proven she doesn’t need Republicans with her independent victory. Even then I think its a false proof. I don’t think she could withstand losing 20%-30% of GOP support. Though I think she is stupid enough to think otherwise. Romney might think the Mormon tie might carry him through. I think he’s not that dumb. He is egomaniacal enough to think he has a political future past senator but he knows betrayal of Trump would finish that. I think Collins thinks she has to do something to counter her Kavanaugh performance, but all I think she will do is bluster. These people can do the math and see they’re not “beloved” enough by their constituents to lose 20%-50% support and retain office. Retaining office is what its all about!
The ‘Rat/Deep State/Media/Academic Complex WILL impeach the President and you all had better pray to God that the thoroughly corrupt GOP doesn’t vote with the ‘Rats.
I’m going to say it again. I don’t think she’s got the votes. But if she does there are some suicidal congress critters out there.
They’re drunk on their own power. They’re convinced the rest of the country is equally intoxicated - and if you listen to the media, they are - and there’s no way they’re going to refuse to vote to impeach. They may be miscalculating, but frankly, I don’t think so.
I do think if it goes to the Senate, they’ll lose. But in the meantime they will have seriously hampered Trump and they’ll have a label to pin on him, with the enthusiastic help of the press.
Pelosi would never do this if she didn’t know it was going to pass.
