PRESIDENT CLINTON should stay in office, at least for now. Independent counsel Kenneth Starr, in his 445-page report to Congress, presented a disturbing portrait of a president who engaged in a stunningly reckless affair with a White House intern, and then took extraordinary means to conceal it. It is now clear that Clinton not only lied about his sexual relationship under oath, but he repeated that lie in a memorably emphatic public statement and in private conversations with his closest advisers.
For seven months, Clinton went to great lengths to avoid a confrontation with the truth about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. Clinton's behavior and his persistence in a lie caused incalculable damage to himself, his family, his staff and supporters -- as well as the American presidency.
The Starr report, and the supporting documents so far, leave little doubt about any of those points.
However, Starr's investigation into Clinton's affair with Lewinsky has not yet produced a compelling case for impeachment...
Every presidential lie is a serious betrayal of the public trust -- whether to advance a policy or to hide a sexual dalliance -- but if every lie were an impeachable offense, the United States would by now have had far more than 42 presidents. Are Clinton's lies about sex under oath in themselves grounds for impeachment? No....
Besides, in Clinton's case, it would be hard to argue that he has lost all public confidence, given his consistently solid job- approval ratings. Americans want him to stay in office for now. And he should, unless Starr or Congress can show stronger evidence of impeachable offenses....

Just checked. They endorsed the Corrupt Hillary Clintoon in 2016. I don’t think they have any right to demand that President Trump resign just because their crook didn’t win and they spent election night rolled up in the fetal position crying their eyes out.

Most of those papers are close to going out of business after loosing many of their subscribers.
