I see and hear a lot of talk about how a national gun registration and/or confiscation would be the trigger that would spark a second American Revolution, as patriots rise up to resist the jackbooted thugs who are going door-to-door taking away people’s arms.
I have bad news for everyone who’s waiting for national registration or a mass confiscation so they can get their armed rebellion on: a national database of gun owners already exists, and a national confiscation effort will never happen. Ever. Instead, you’ll hand over your firearms peacefully. All of them, even the ones you paid cash for to some random guy on Armslist in the dead of night.

Every one of those protections in the Constitution can be laid aside, once they are able to limit the Second Amendment.

What is being stated is that you are going to end up sitting on a pile of guns and ammo with no freedom. Nobody is going to engage in the conservative wet dream of mass firearms confiscation. If you won’t give up your guns then at some point your progeny will because conservatives are too damn lazy and stupid to engage in the political and cultural war.

I agree with both of you. At the moment there are still a lot of ex military and patriots left but it seems that number is dwindling by the year as the newer generations are indoctrinated and brainwashed.
I hate the left for what they’ve done to the kids. Fortunately some still think for themselves but so many are now “woke” and stupid. It’s like talking to a stuffed dummy. There’s nothing between the ears but talking points with no substance to back them up.
Ask them why they call you a Nazi. Their answer will be something like “don’t you know what a Nazi is?”. They don’t even understand what it is they are calling you. A high percentage never heard of the holocaust. History hasn’t been taught correctly in decades it would seem. In their minds they know only one thing; a Nazi is bad. They have no idea why. We may be closer than that now. Young people today don’t value what we value. I don’t think they have any true values (not all of course; but a high percentage). They have been told they won’t have it as good as their parents and grand parents so they have lost hope. Once hope is gone; it’s all over with.
Maybe today’s Americans need to lose everything so when they rebuild, if they rebuild, it will mean something to them. They have no ties to our rich history of sacrifice, suffering, and fighting for our freedoms they take for granted.

Maybe I misread it but I think the intention of the author was to wake people up to the possibility something like this could very well happen and it won't happen with jack boots at the door. It will happen quietly from the courts as they take everything you value or you give up your guns willingly. Oh; and of course all the rest of your natural God given rights until you are nothing more than servant of realm. A subject; no longer a citizen.
I’ve often had the discussion with local LEA as to what they would do if they received an order to disarm law-abiding citizens. They always reply along the lines of “See any feds around?” My thoughts are that local LEA will be our first line of defense against such an action. Without local LEA, the feds would be powerless to disarm the public at large. As far as commanding the military to do it, most of the military are southern/country/middle America boys who wouldn’t take kindly to their kinfolk being threatened. Look at it this way: the feds can’t even secure the southern border. Down here in Texas, the state police (DPS) do the heavy lifting. Without cooperation from local law enforcement, the fed would be powerless to disarm the public. How successful are they in outlawing pot?
Kids have a videogame mentality about socialism. They want to try and it and, if it doesn’t work, they can just press reset and return things to what does work.
They don’t understand that it will be a 100 yr guerilla warfare to try and get back the rights if they are given up. The one condolence we have is that most of us will have gotten to live our lives when America was mostly free.
I believe that America is the Second Beast of Revelations and there is going to be a time when it gives power to the First beast, which is Rome.
What would you do if given the choice of giving up your land, home, cars, job, money, children (if you have any) and a possible jail sentence or giving up the guns they think you have?
