Sara Carter: Pay Attention To The Unmaskings

As President Trump ordered the intelligence community and others to fully cooperate with DOJ Attorney General William Barr in his investigation into the FBI’s probe of the 2016 presidential election, a key piece of evidence may reside in the early unmasking of Americans private communications, according to Sara Carter.

Carter pointed this out in her appearance Thursday night on Hannity, with guest host Dan Bongino.

Carter noted former UN Ambassador Samantha Power who unmasked nearly 300 people. These names will surprise Americans if they were to be made public, according to Carter.

Earlier, Carter reported on this news site that Trump’s order requires full cooperation from the intelligence community. “The review will be expansive,” Carter wrote.

Additionally, Carter said exculpatory evidence related to Trump campaign advisors Carter Page and George Papadopoulos will come to the surface.

How & why did a/the U.N. ambassador have such authority?

I think because she could slip in under the radar. No one would notice.

If the issue was the UN Res for the Palestinians, or also Iran, their target list would begin with Netanyahu’s earlier speech on Capitol Hill- they probably unmasked every congresscritter [and by ‘two hops’ their families and campaign connections] who had supported Netanyahu being able to come give that speech.

My dream is (after fair trials and convictions) all traitors being hanged on the WDC mall with their dead carcuses left to rot and be picked by birds. Further, all seditionists being imprisoned in a Fed SuperMax. That would be very satisfying Justice for Free America. One can dream...

Of course, that hasn't been totally established as the truth ... YET.

LOL.

It all makes sense when you see how the whole process has unfolded, though!

Separately, in a response to a FOIA request, we were told by the National Security Council (NSC) in May 2017 that the materials regarding the unmasking by Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice of “the identities of any U.S. citizens associated with the Trump presidential campaign or transition team” have been removed to the Obama Library. ---Weekly Update: JW Sues for Unmasking Targeting Trump Team Judicial Watch ^ | February 16, 2018 | Tom Fitton ---

I was thinking that Power would be a soft target to flip, but then I refreshed my knowledge of her background.

She's married to Cass Sunstein, who was also in the Obama administration. He's a Harvard and Columbia lawyer, so he'd be a strong protector of his wife.

She was born in London to Irish parents, and naturalized in 1993.

She supports Palestine over Israel, and was the first American UN Ambassador to refuse to block a resolution against Israel.

She was the strongest advocate for the Obama Administration to intervene in Libya, resulting in the death of Khaddaffi.

Her husband Sunstein wrote a 2008 paper on conspiracy theories. From Wikipedia:

Sunstein co-authored a 2008 paper with Adrian Vermeule, titled "Conspiracy Theories," dealing with the risks and possible government responses to conspiracy theories resulting from "cascades" of faulty information within groups that may ultimately lead to violence. In this article they wrote, "The existence of both domestic and foreign conspiracy theories, we suggest, is no trivial matter, posing real risks to the government's antiterrorism policies, whatever the latter may be." They go on to propose that, "the best response consists in cognitive infiltration of extremist groups",[37] where they suggest, among other tactics, "Government agents (and their allies) might enter chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups and attempt to undermine percolating conspiracy theories by raising doubts about their factual premises, causal logic or implications for political action."[37] They refer, several times, to groups that promote the view that the US Government was responsible or complicit in the September 11 attacks as "extremist groups."

The authors declare that there are five hypothetical responses a government can take toward conspiracy theories: "We can readily imagine a series of possible responses. (1) Government might ban conspiracy theorizing. (2) Government might impose some kind of tax, financial or otherwise, on those who disseminate such theories. (3) Government might itself engage in counterspeech, marshaling arguments to discredit conspiracy theories. (4) Government might formally hire credible private parties to engage in counterspeech. (5) Government might engage in informal communication with such parties, encouraging them to help." However, the authors advocate that each "instrument has a distinctive set of potential effects, or costs and benefits, and each will have a place under imaginable conditions. However, our main policy idea is that government should engage in cognitive infiltration of the groups that produce conspiracy theories, which involves a mix of (3), (4) and (5)."

Sunstein and Vermeule also analyze the practice of recruiting "nongovernmental officials"; they suggest that "government can supply these independent experts with information and perhaps prod them into action from behind the scenes," further warning that "too close a connection will be self-defeating if it is exposed."[37] Sunstein and Vermeule argue that the practice of enlisting non-government officials, "might ensure that credible independent experts offer the rebuttal, rather than government officials themselves. There is a tradeoff between credibility and control, however. The price of credibility is that government cannot be seen to control the independent experts." This position has been criticized by some commentators[38][39] who argue that it would violate prohibitions on government propaganda aimed at domestic citizens.[40] Sunstein and Vermeule's proposed infiltrations have also been met by sharply critical scholarly critiques.[41][42][43][44]

When reading my bolded portions of the Sunstein paper, doesn't it seem to be the blueprint for the entire Obama conspiracy against Trump?

We have:

  1. The claim that Russian bots infiltrated Facebook and planted disinformation during the election.
  2. The hiring of Steele to prepare the Trump disinformation dossier.
  3. Hiding the Clinton and DNC involvement behind Perkins Coie, who fronted to Steele.
  4. Using the American media to offer the "independent rebuttal" against the Trump administration's claims of a witch hunt.

Now I think that both Power and Sunstein were deep into the planning of the whole thing, based on Sunstein's own paper on the subject.

His legal name is Barry Soetoro ... and he is a manufactured entity by the CIA which agency has been a tool of deep satte since Dulles ran it. Their first an d greatest work until now was the cover-up of the assassination of John Kennedy. Brennan and foreign snakes of his ilk in England and elsewhere are at the root of this orchestrated effort to turn America into a managed oligarchy. Barry Soetoro is just a piece of shit they used to get their agenda working.

Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice was also involved in unmasking individuals in the Trump orbit. At first she lied about the unmaskings she requested, saying she didn’t use the process to conduct opposition research on the Trump campaign. Then, in April, the high-profile pathological liar and apologist for Obama’s chaotic foreign policy claimed unmasking was a routine part of her job, but assured those who would listen that she had not used the process for partisan political purposes. Then CNN reported earlier this month that behind closed doors Rice informed congressional investigators this summer that “she unmasked the identities of senior Trump officials to understand why the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates was in New York late last year.”
The royal visit to the Big Apple took place after the endlessly-hyped, relentlessly-misrepresented meeting between Trump campaign officials and a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower that the media howls proves the Left’s wacky Trump-Russia election collusion conspiracy theory.
Relying on unnamed sources, CNN reported that after the election the UAE began trying to establish a back-channel for communication between Russia and the incoming would-be Trump White House. The crown prince of the UAE reportedly met with top Trump officials in December during the transition period, but apparently violated protocol by not providing advance notice to the Obama administration. At a bare minimum, Rice appears to have unmasked identities of individuals whose names came up in the intelligence-gathering process that sought information about UAE activities.
After the UAE story surfaced in the media, President Trump publicly condemned Rice.
“She’s not supposed to be doing that, and what she did was wrong. And we’ve been saying that and that’s just the tip of the iceberg,” Trump said of Rice’s ethically dubious and possibly unlawful unmaskings. “What she did was wrong. Not supposed to be doing that. You know it. The unmasking and the surveillance [of the Trump campaign], and I heard she admitted that yesterday. Just not right.”
Rice’s fellow mischief-maker, Power, is expected to testify in secret before federal lawmakers next month who are investigating Obama administration officials’ extremely unusual mid-campaign and post-campaign efforts to obtain the identities of Trump associates in intelligence reports.
As Fox reports:
In a July 27 letter to Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said the committee had learned “that one official, whose position had no apparent intelligence-related function, made hundreds of unmasking requests during the final year of the Obama Administration.”
The “official” is widely reported to be Power.
Power, Rice, and Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan, were reportedly named in congressional subpoenas served on three U.S. intelligence agencies in May. Records were requested regarding Obama speechwriter Ben Rhodes but were not subpoenaed.

It’s pretty obvious that there was some kind of intelligence connection to Obama’s family.many here wouldn’t believe it. I still maintain that is the case.

This is not something new . Brennan simply tried to do what they do in other countries because trump can’t be controlled. Think back to how controlled other POTUS seemed to have been when compared to trump.

Good question... since they asked her, doesn’t that imply they already know?

If by "they," you mean Trump Team, I think they know now, but I don't think they knew when the testimony took place. That said, my guess on this is far less important than what actually happened, which we would both like to know.

I forgot that Samantha Powers was married to Cass Sunstein, although I knew it at one time. Sunstein is a real beaut; he wants to manipulate everyone to boost leftist power.

I think Joe Biden now wishes he never announced a decision to run for President for a number of reasons; the biggest being the Ukrainian and Chinese scandals involving his son, Hunter. Biden had to know what was going on with those deals; especially when he threatened the withholding of $1 billion in aid if the Ukrainian President didn’t fire the prosecutor investigating Hunter.

That’s what I’ve been thinking. Ol Cass has been trying very hard to avoid the appearance of being interested, which is peculiar considering it’s right up his alley.

But, he jumped right out in front praising Scalia upon his death like a sensible law prof.

Steele was the fake author. It was composed and written by someone else, and this will come as a shock to many who have believed the fully fraudulent claims. Wathc for Sid Blumenthal’s name to surface soon ... he and Simpson may have been the authors then suing Steele’s name with his consent. But Steele did not even know the content particulars of the dossier when initially questioned on it.
