AOC Is Confused Why Conservatives Say Her $93 Trillion Green New Deal Is 'Too Much Money'
Trending Politics ^ | 5/14/2019 | Frank

Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez acts like she's confused and doesn't understand why $93 trillion is too much. She doesn't have a real way to generate that money. If anything, it would come from taxpayers. Not to forget, the Democratic Party already struck down her Green New Deal when they voted on it the first time. Democrats don't seem to have faith in AOC's plan.

The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) made the costs more concrete: the program would cost $316,010 to $419,101 per household. According to the Census Bureau, the average household income in 2017 was $61,372. In ten years, the average household will make $613,720. That means the Green New Deal would cost 51.5-68.3 percent of the average family’s budget. Imagine living off of less than half of what you do now.

"so like, um, like how long would it take to, um, print 90 trillion dollars? We have federal printing presses - isn't that where the money comes from in the first place?
Ohhh, I'm just loving this Congressional gig-thingy..."

A lot easier than printing... just strike enough coins. Shouldn't take more than a handful or three.

So many things confuse her. Toast, for example...

Egalitarianism abolishes causality in the earning of income, resulting in people doing too little, and it abolishes causality in the spending of income, causing people to be unconcerned about cost, resulting in people spending too much. The evasion of causality is one of the signs and symptoms of irrationality.

AOC wakes up in a different world every time she blinks her eyes....
Waking up like several times a day that is very confusing...

Start thinking outside the box, AOC! Printing presses, that's the ticket. It worked for the Weimar Republic, and it worked for Zimbabwe. No reason why it shouldn't work here.

By my simple brain, $93 trillion
divided by 141 million (# returns filed) =
$660 one time charge, received in that year.

It’s just simple economics, right?
I learned that in college.
Who could squawk at that?

Of course there would be no add-on charges
or costs in future years.

I’m fine with all her ideas as long as she raises the money for them herself.

AOC’s economics training stemmed from ripping off other employee’s tips when she was bartending.

You must be an accountant. My background is more scientific. It looks more to me like, “12 zeroes and some change divided by 8 zeroes starting with ‘ONE’” comes out somewhere north of 5 zeroes.”

IOW, I think you lost a couple zeroes somewhere and those are some pretty big zeroes to lose track of. When you are off by an order of magnitude in the distance to some distant star no one really cares very much. When you lose track of zeroes in regard to “money in the Trillions” I suspect people are going to care quite a bit more.

But then, what the hell. It’s just a cost after all, I guess.

She is the type that needs the visual of how large a trillion dollars is. $1 million in $1000 bills is a suitcase worth. A billion is a pallet or so, and A TRILLION IS A WHOLE WAREHOUSE!
