The Wall Will be Built, One Way or Another. Stop Whining.

Really? This guy was actually a candidate? Who knew? – You will all no doubt be highly saddened to know that Richard Ojeda has dropped out of the race for the 2020 Democrat Party’s presidential nomination.

I can hear the gears clinking furiously in minds everywhere out there, as you take to Google to figure out just who in the hell is Richard Ojeda? So, let me tell you: He’s a state senator from West Virginia. I have no earthly idea when he announced he was running, but on Friday he announced he wasn’t, and that actually made news for some reason.

The candidate no one had ever heard of said that, although “The indications were very positive from an overwhelming response to our videos, to thousands of volunteers, and a level of grassroots fundraising support that grew every day,” he doesn’t “want to see people send money to a campaign that’s probably not going to get off the ground.”

Oh. Ok. Adios, dude.

In other, real news… – The Commie’s in! Yes, friends and enemies, Bernie Sanders is going to be providing more Soviet-style gruel for the leftist masses for the next two years, as expected. Yahoo News reports that he will formally announce his bid just as soon as he can use other people’s money to rent a room at some Washington, DC hotel.

Awesome. The 2020 campaign just wouldn’t have been the same without this grifting lunatic weaving his envy-based fantasies for all the college students to soak in.

Why can’t people listen anymore? – I’ve always marveled at the inability of the leftist mind to listen and absorb what is actually being said in a speech. Sadly, this same lack of attention span appears to have now afflicted many on the right as well.

Yesterday, President Trump gave a speech that lasted about 20 minutes or so, in which he announced that he had reached an agreement with congressional “leaders” to re-open the semi-closed government and get all the federal employees paid via a three-week continuing resolution (CR). That part of the speech consumed about one of the twenty minutes.

Those who actually listened to the speech in its entirety and absorbed what was actually said heard the President spend the other 19 minutes of it making making the case for why the current situation along our Southern border constitutes a true national emergency, and why the building of a wall is necessary to relieve it. Mr. Trump further promised that, if congress has failed to allocate his requested $5.7 billion in wall and border security funding at the end of the 21-day period of the CR, he will use his authority to issue an executive order declaring a national emergency and use funds his staff has already identified in the defense budget to immediately begin adding to the 630 miles of border wall that already exist.

Oddly, the only part of the speech most Trump “supporters” apparently heard was the deal on the CR. Despite the reality that Donald Trump is the first President since Ronald Reagan who has kept promise after promise after promise, the backlash among his supposed supporters on social media was immediate and harsh. Twitter was immediately filled with the wailings of thousands of Trumpians accusing the President of “caving” and whining that his presidency is now somehow over.

For those still clinging to that notion this morning, let me try to explain what really happened on Friday:

President Trump acted to ensure employees in the Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security did not miss a second paycheck, and to ensure the flight disruptions that were taking place as several airports due to lack of personnel did not spread across the country and begin harming the overall economy; and The President put the onus on congressional Democrats to either negotiate a deal on border security or deal with the reality of a national emergency declaration. Seeing all the uproar taking place, the President tried to calm the waters with the following tweet:

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump I wish people would read or listen to my words on the Border Wall. This was in no way a concession. It was taking care of millions of people who were getting badly hurt by the Shutdown with the understanding that in 21 days, if no deal is done, it’s off to the races!

157K 6:33 PM - Jan 25, 2019 Twitter Ads info and privacy 116K people are talking about this As if that blunt statement needed more clarity, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders followed up with this:

Sarah Sanders ✔ @PressSec In 21 days President @realDonaldTrump is moving forward building the wall with or without the Democrats. The only outstanding question is whether the Democrats want something or nothing

The wall is going to be built, one way or another. Stop whining, and pay better attention.

That is all.

I think Trump just gave the Democrats more rope to figuratively hang themselves politically.

Exactly! All of the pearl-clutchers on FR need to admit to themselves that they either are not paying attention, or do not want Conservatism to succeed.

The Mittbots and other NeverTrumpers who come across with their “learned” positions, or “sky-is-falling” circling with ther hair on fire maneuvers will never be satisfied. The “Principled Conservatives” will still piss and moan and threaten to sit on their hands to “send the party a message”, holding on to their position as the left’s secret weapon against the Constitution.

The CWII fans will still talk about “lock and load” (Hell, I am buying more ammo, myself!), but I have faith in our President. Yes, OUR PRESIDENT! Not some tool of big business, globalism, the loony left, or any of our diverse ethnic subsets. He is President for all Americans, following the instructions and guidelines laid down in that marvelous legacy, the Constitution of the United States of America!

So, go on and rant and rave about caving and betrayal. You have shot your bolt, and I am not listening to you, anymore. You have cried wolf, one too many times.

No it won’t. It never had a chance. Not in any iteration that will give Trump credit. He made too many enemies with his campaign, it’s become too much of a symbol. 30, maybe 40 years from now, when somebody can present it fresh and associated with him, it could happen.

“The Wall” is symbolic. A campaign rallying cry. My opinion is that even with a barrier, illegal migration will not stop until the enticements for said migration are removed. It will be futile until Congress ends chain migration, welfare entitlement, adds funding strings for sanctuary cities and states, plus tightening asylum requirements. Face it, Congress is at fault. At least Trump is trying.

I am dismayed by so many wanting abandon our president because they didn’t get what they wanted when they wanted it. One thing I envy about democrats is their ability to present a unified front. Ours has so many cracks that no wonder our opponents think we are push overs.

I stand with the president now and always.

Well said.

The hatred index in America went up yesterday.

It would be easy to get rid of Pelosi.

Just cancel her security.

The Dems are so afraid of Donald Trump, they have tried to secretly install a tally-wacker monitor.

This Dem Lefty party is the most ludicrous body politic I have ever seen in in our nation.. INSANE!

America is still behind PDJT, that’s not going to change no matter what jumped up Alinsky Rules for Radicals crap they pull using a corrupt Congress, DOJ, FBI, IRS, and CIA.

The left feels so threatened even by Donald Trumps little finger, that they are trying to hide all of his veto pens.

For the next 2 years PDJT won’t be signing much legislation.

Or I have enough vision to understand how the American government works. A wall would be great, but Trump no friends in Congress on either side of the aisle, nobody willing to go to the mattresses for him. And the judiciary has shown they’ll over turn ANYTHING he tries to do via executive order, even if it’s something Obama did, just because it’s him. Those are the irrefutable facts on the table. Wall ain’t gonna happen.

That is simply not true. Trump has in fact issued dozens of EOs that are fully in effect today. But hey, you “understand how government works,” so it’s obviously a waste of time dealing in facts with you.

I have to disagree.

“I think Trump just gave the Democrats more rope to figuratively hang themselves politically.”

AFter 8 years of Obama/Biden, and like 50 years of Hillary you think that the dems are going to hang themselves over a wall that the past 5 presidents haven’t been able to finish ?

Yesterday was a new low for this forum - not the leadership but the membership in general. A live thread of his speech and out of hundreds of posts maybe a handful actually reporting on what Trump was saying. Used to be a live thread here was informative, yesterday’s was just a nonstop bitchfest.

If he declares an emergency or finds another way to build the wall, there should be nothing for DACA and the temporary people should make ready to leave. They can apply for legal immigration from their home country.

We are better off without the DACA people because they are apparently so stupid the support democrats even though they used them. We have enough stupid people of our own without importing them.
