Although David Brooks is a NeverTrumper "conservative" columnist at the New York Times who has guaranteed his job security by his open hatred of President Trump, he might have gone A Bridge Too Far with his latest column. In it he gives full support to the Covington Catholic high school students over the incident when Native American Nathan Phillips got into the face of one of the students while banging on a drum.
The fact that this kid and many other students were wearing a MAGA hats made support for them intolerable in the minds of many liberals. So is it goodbye to the NYT career of David Brooks? At the very least he faces ostracism by his Times colleagues.
Probably all of them will get bonus checks for pot stirring.
He may have been instructed by the bosses to go out there and try to regain a shred of credibility for the Times - take one for the team.
How would the press have treated this if the teens had been black youth wearing “hope and change’ sweatshirts...
PING!
I actually think that your lighting is fine. My wife complained about the lighting around the mirror in our master bathroom for years. So I spent a lot of time working on the lighting in the new master bathroom in the house we are moving into. It lights us up very well when we are standing in front of the new mirrors. It lights us up so well that we can now see how old we actually look which is not actually that complimentary.
If you do decide to redo your lighting set up, don't just get brighter lights, find a book or Internet site that will tell you how to angle the lights so that they enhance your natural good looks without showing all the details of old age.
There are videos about EVERYTHING on YouTube so I will probably look up videos about proper lighting for recording YouTube videos.
I have learned an incredible amount from YouTube videos. I have one up myself from several years ago about taking apart a shotgun that now has 269,000 views. It wasn’t scripted or even planned. I don’t know why it has gotten so many views.
