Ever wondered what it feels like to get shot? People in the military and others who were unfortunate to experience this ordeal have describe their personal experiences of what it feels like when a bullet hits them, and how they ultimately survived.
They know what it's like to get shot, and the incredible amount of physical and emotional pain that accompanies a bullet wound. They unfortunately found themselves at the wrong end of a gun, and not only survived their brush with death, but were fortunate enough to tell others about their experience.
Based on these accounts, people have different experiences of how it feels to get shot. Some felt as little as a slight bee sting, and others felt the worst pain they had ever experienced.
There seems to be no way to gauge how ones body will react to a bullet, but the majority of these experiences suggest it will be extremely painful. Check out these first-hand accounts of getting shot by a gun to learn how it feels to survive a bullet wound. Read the rest of getting shot.
feels like a burn. feels like you are all wet too.
Was out in the middle of now where (I thought) behind a hill once and someone on the other side started shooting target practice. Some of the rounds were ricocheting over the hill and I could hear ‘em whizzing over my head........that’s as close as I wanna ever get to getting shot at.
Been on the correct end of a gun many times. Hunting, plinking, range time. I know the damage it can do as I field dress mammals that weigh as much as me. I would not want to experience being on the business end of it myself.
Shot At and Being Shot 2 diff experiences.
Probably shouldn’t have inserted your own title, orig works best
I suspect if you get shot in the right place you won’t feel squat.
When I was a kid my brother and I were walking down a creek bed in Alabama. We didn’t know there was a woman up stream sunbathing in the nude. She yelled at us to leave. We still hadn’t seen her or understood why she was yelling at us to leave when she fired a pistol 8 or 10 feet over our heads. That’s when I saw a naked woman pointing a gun at us
I hope she got skin cancer from too much sun. It was a completely inappropriate response to being walked up on by two preteen boys.
You can believe this or not.
Ummm....two entirely different things.
The former is quite a bit less nice than eating ice cream. The latter is probably at the bottom of most people's list of Things To Do Today.
Usually, it feels like a little tiny sharp stick.
Except for insulin pens, you can barely feel those at all!
If I am not being shot at, I am not a good conservative.
This almost exact thing happened to me in the desert. Guy was in a dry wash shooting targets he set up against a 6 foot berm created by the stream bank. Every 5th or 6th round would hit a rock and buzz past us overhead in our camp. I grabbed a rifle and slung it over my shoulder and took a circuitous route to avoid direct contact. I said hold up there hoss. People straight in front of you. He argued that the berm should stop any rounds. Shoulda woulda coulda I said. sounds like angry bees flying overhead. Please use the opposite bank or walk down the wash about 500 yds where it takes a 90 degree turn. He grumbled but went.
Getting Shot at - Whats it like?
Ask the people who worked around the Clintons.
That may actually come to pass.
“took a circuitous route”
You are a wise man. lol
Taking fire in combat used to be referred to as “seeing the elephant”

Damn, Jon, why don't you just post graphic images of gunshot wounds under the category 'humor', like you used to?
Dumbass...
I read a Civil War short story where a cavalry officer said having his horse shot out from under at full gallop was the most scary, exhilarating and memorable thing that happened to him during the entire war, even more so than being wounded.
