Agreed. I’m not that big a fan of “modern sporting rifle,” either. Does anyone really think making up euphemisms for our rifles is going to win anyone over?

Sport utility rifle sounds as stupid as assault rifle to me. Just call them what they are, semi-automatic rifles.
