So We Lost a Battle Vanity
Me | Today | Me

Posted on 03/23/2018 11:27:02 AM PDT by waterhill

This is just a battle lost, not the war. Its gonna be ok. I am embarrassed for and of some of you FReepers. Rub some dirt on it and walk it off, go to the range, drink it off, cry in your pillows, whatever...

Quit whining. Quit acting like snowflakes. Or just opus-out and don't come back. Posers.

(Rant off)

One of the reasons we voted for him was to TO STOP THE SPENDING

Not me. I voted for him because he is not Hillary Clinton. I have been surprised and pleased at what he has been able to accomplish, so far, and my guess is that he isn't done doing good and MAGA. So, if President Trump finds it politically expedient to sign a bad bill, I'm not really upset. Since this is only a six-month bill, we'll see soon if this is a pattern for the President or whether he will do better on spending in the fall.

Wow - your government just ass raped you, but you’re okay with that.

But someone on a board hurts your feelings and you spring in to action.

Hope you don’t have TV, Facebook, Twitter, radio, movies, friends - all those laughing libs are going to say things about you that are much, much worse.

And why wouldn’t they?

They just took you to the cleaners and you’re thrilled you’re getting a “participant” trophy. :)

If you drink half a bottle of poison, you’re still drinking poison.

The Republican’s offensive strategy is negotiating surrender.

Darn it! We lost one out of 100! One out of ten Freepers need to make the sacrifice. I expect you to immediately register at DUh and post on the dream like Utopian Presidency if Hillary had actually cheated her way to victory...

You are obviously a "glass half empty" kinda person. I'm not suggesting that the glass is half full. I just think you are using the wrong size glass to evaluate the circumstances.

You may want to look up the difference between an Omnibus and...wait a second.

Here: https://www.heritage.org/budget-and-spending/report/the-good-bad-and-ugly-the-fiscal-year-2018-omnibus-appropriations-act

The bill complicates what Trump wanted to do but all is not lost; our side really did get more out of it than what appears on the surface (i.e. military, which is good). Come September things will adjust. A veto would have been a terrible idea.

Don’t go off half-cocked without being informed. Its going to be ok, ok?
