Will John Bolton Fix the Leaky Valve at the NSC?

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Man, another slow news day – having a hard time finding anything to write about. Lessee here…

Down goes McMaster! Down goes McMaster! Down goes McMaster! – General H.R. McMaster, who has run the leaky valve we call the National Security Council (NSC) for the past 13 months, was finally, at long last given his walking papers on Thursday. The move comes after the latest in a long series of major, embarrassing leaks that most likely came from either the General or his staff earlier this week.

That leak came when the substance of the President’s call with Vladimir Putin – including Trump’s congratulation on his fake election win, a matter of simple courtesy that was also extended by Barack Obama in 2012 – was leaked to the press, along with briefing notes compiled by the NSC advising Mr. Trump not to offer such congratulations. The leak, as so many emanating from the NSC before it had been, was designed to embarrass President Trump, and it appears the POTUS had finally had enough.

The White House put out a statement late Wednesday that characterized this leak as “likely illegal” and promised to fire the person or persons responsible for it. About 17 hours later, H.R. McMaster was starting the process of hunting for another job. Hey, don’t feel sorry for him – he will no doubt have his pick of gigs at CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post and the New York Times, fake media outlets that love to reward the hands that feed them.

In a tweet issued to announce the firing, President Trump thanked the 3-star General and said he would “always remain my friend.” So, obviously, the President wants to create as little controversy as possible around the McMaster ouster. It will be interesting to see if the White House is ever able to identify anyone else responsible for the leak of the Putin conversation, and if bringing in a new National Security Advisor has the effect of tamping down the leaks going forward. Because with a “security council” like this, well, who needs it?

To replace McMaster, Trump named Bush-era UN Ambassador and noted neo-con John Bolton, so he’s replacing a liberal globalist Susan Rice fan with a very conservative war hawk who tends to favor U.S. intervention all over the world. Appearing on Fox News shortly after his hiring had been announced, Bolton joked that, to get the job, “I promised not to start any wars.” I’m not really sure that’s funny.

Whatever, Bolton will be a huge upgrade if he just doesn’t engage in the habit of leaking classified information to the nearest fake reporter.

Hey, guess which students are very predictably on the cover of the new issue of Time Magazine? – If you said “Parkland students,” you are partially right. The fully correct answer, of course, is “a handful of Parkland students who are anti-2nd amendment and being manipulated by a bunch of leftwing anti-gun groups,” you are fully correct.

Because, of course, only the brainwashed children who want to take your rights away fit the anti-gun narrative the fake news media and Democrat Party have pushed for the last 50 years. So tiresome.

Hey, remember those DACA “kids” (average age: 26)? Remember how I told you way back in December that the Democrat Party would never, never, never, ever agree to any sort of deal on their situation because they want to keep that issue alive through election day in November? Yeah, we had another example of the truth of that overnight.

In the wee hours of the morning, the U.S. Senate – the most useless deliberative body on earth – approved yet another continuing resolution to fund the government, this time through the end of the fiscal year on September 30. It is an utter, complete, total disgrace of a bill, a budget-busting monstrosity that not only continues funding for every leftwing priority but increases the money for most of them, a total capitulation by the Republicans in which pretty much the only thing that isn’t funded in any real way is increased border security and a border wall. Thank you, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.

Wait. The other thing this “compromise” (read: Republican capitulation) bill doesn’t have in it is any sort of “fix” for those poor, poor “Dreamers”. Golly, nobody could have seen that coming.

The two happiest people in the nation’s capital this morning are San Fran Nan and Chuck Schumer, who are no doubt hung over from all those toasts they were drinking during the night to Ryan, McConnell and the rest of the shameful establishment wing of the GOP.

If you are searching for the reason why Republicans hate Republicans, this bill is pretty much your Holy Grail.

Just another day in establishment Republicans selling out America.

That is all.

Will Bolton fix the leak?

I have to wonder if Trump didn’t fix it when he fired McMaster.

All Bolton has to do is announce he will use the polygraph when necessary. That should do it.

Bolton has been in the media for years. He'll leak. Just hope that he only leaks a little and only to Fox.

A large fraction of the staff at the NSC are not WH employees, but loaners from the agencies assigned to the NSC staff for a time. Their loyalties are with their bosses back in the agencies, whence they get their paychecks [think DEEP STATE here], and the pressure to tell all is enormous.

A huge problem was McMaster’s staff. It was full of Never Trumpers and Democrats. And reportedly he lied to POTUS about it. I can’t imagine any of them wanting to work for Bolton. They’ll scatter like the cockroaches they are now, IMO.

I hope Bolton comes in like another historical figure and whips things up and turns over the tables on the money changers so to speak. I am so freakin' sick of the swamp.

It is time to move whole departments / cabinet level control as well too the most inhospitable climatological locations within the contiguous 48 States and Alaska, and shut down their buildings in DC and bring in the Cranes and tear them down.

“He’ll leak.”

If John Bolten leaks, it will be in support of the administration...not to bring it down.
