There is some seriously bad logic going on here to imply that gender played any role in this, when you consider that nearly all of the failures of bridges, buildings, dirigibles, airliners, etc down through history were likely designed by all male engineering teams.
Yeah, this kind of stuff is embarrassing.
I'd bet that most modern civil engineering failures are a result of cutting corners to save (or embezzle) money, not poor engineering.
Were not looking at historical percentages but this instance and this firms record.
I dont think its a matter of people thinking that gender played a role in possibly faulty engineering, rather that placing gender above competence may have. If you hire based on lady parts instead of engineering smarts, then you might have a problem. And with an all female engineering team, its very likely that was the case.
On the other hand, the blame for the disaster may fall on the installation crew, in which case the lady geeks might be off the hook.
not to mention all the mass murderers.....
but I've come to realize that there are a number of freepers who are homos or have very small male parts and take any opportunity to show their superiority....
Probably true because traditionally men have been the engineers but this idea of giving priority to minorities is causing all kinds of trouble. Stop trying to engineering society—choose the best regardless of race, creed, gender, etc.
