55 Years of Guns: From Parkland Hosp.TX., To Parkland Fla.
3/16/2018 | Chris Volkay

Posted on 03/16/2018 12:58:17 PM PDT by cvolkay

(With all the crap swirling around about the gun debate, I'm unable to let it rest.)

As per usual in the wake of yet another massive shooting, this time in Parkland Fla., there is the new rally of cries for gun control or whatever they're calling it these days. It is yet another example of the endless false narratives that grip this fine country.

With guns it goes like this, gun control works, this is an indisputable fact. If implemented it would solve this problem. But the damn republicans, the NRA, big business and big money, (who all know gun control will work) oppose it because they like making lots of money and don't really give a good jolly damn as long as money is concerned. So there! Go to hell!

Oh heavens, give me strength. This is the moonstruck liberal twist that permeates the obviously fake and left-biased news outlets that make up main stream media, (MSM). I became aware of this as I read a news blurb from either AOL or Yahoo, saying, "People outraged by Trump's colossally stupid proposal. That proposal was the one about arming teachers. Please sit down a moment liberal journalists and MSM drones, ya’ ready baby, arming teachers is not only not stupid, but it is colossally brilliant. Simply brilliant.

You see, once these shooters start shooting, they just keep going on and on and on until they tucker out. They bring sleeping bags with them. They have no resistance. I read Columbine was 49 minutes, Virginia Tech was at least an hour. Knowing they face no opposition they just stroll around killing and discussing the weather. I also have frequently seen cops outside these building but until they get proper Intel they don't make entry. An AR-15 can be fired as fast as you can pull the trigger. The bodies fall quickly.

You see good chums, what you need are people right there on the scene, who are in the middle of the situation, have the requisite Intel and can act quickly to prevent the shooter from running up his body count. This is the only thing that can viably work. Add to that the malfeasance of the FBI once again, and you've got real problems.

Not all teachers would be armed, but out of say 20, you might have 4 or 5. You could also put a notice up on the school for the students that could read, it would say, "Some of Our Faculty May Be Armed." Would this serve as a deterrent, absolutely, would it work every time, certainly not. If I were a teacher in today's school environment I would want, and I would have a gun (by any means that was necessary) simply for my own protection.

Look at what you have now. Well let's see, exactly nothing. Any shooter knows he can go in and have Carte Blanche. Blasting fish in a barrel. A little barrel too.

In the title I referenced Parkland Hospital, Dallas where JFK was taken. From that moment on we have had the steady chorus of liberal voices for gun control. This issue is just as good as any other to chronicle the thinking of the leftist mind. People divide us up into democrat vs. republican, liberal vs. conservative, lefty vs. righty but why not use a more accurate description? One not offered from animus but simply an investigation of the empirical data. The left is the party of fantasy, dreams and hope and the right is the party of nasty, vile reality.

So, let's concentrate on this issue. I have read we have 200 million guns in this country. Right or wrong, they are there and the people that own and love them ain't giving them up to satisfy anyone's Utopian daydreams.

Guns, like anything else in this world, will be obtained by anyone who wants one and has the dough. Prostitution is here and thrives. Drugs are a joke. All these drugs are illegal but still they rain down from the sky. Better take your galoshes and umbrella, today it looks like a steady downpour of cocaine. People have guns coming out of their ears and other places too! If you're going to deal with guns you've got to deal with them in the real world, not the, what would be nice world. Anything people want, alcohol, prostitution, drugs and guns they will get.

The whole idea of banning or prohibition is pretty nutty anyway. I remember a few years back some idiota in Isla Vista took his daddy's big car (I believe) and ran down 7 or so, killing them. Do we ban cars? They have every bit as much killing power as guns, maybe more. Here in L.A. about 10 years ago there was an old codger who rammed his car into one of those blocked off Farmers markets in the street and killed about 10, and he wasn't even trying to kill anybody, he was presumably just trying to find a good price on kumquats.

You may say, the car couldn't have been used at Parkland School. The hell it couldn't. Wait till the final bell rings for the day and there is a mass exodus from school. Students fill the parking lots and the streets around the school, they cross the streets. You could plow into one group, when those bodies slow you down, you could put it in reverse, hang a quick U-turn, go to the next street over, get the car up to 50 or 60 mph and plow into another group. Very possible and very doable. It could be used as a weapon of mass murder. No doubt whatsoever. Just wait for school to be out.

Remember the Hutu's and the Tutsi's? The genocide with all those bodies floating down the river, yeah, that one. About 800,000 Tutsi's died as they were slaughtered by machetes. Yes, of course, you got me, there were many Hutu's wielding machetes but so what? The Tutsi's were just as dead. The only reason the Hutu's didn't have guns is either they couldn't afford them or they weren't available.

But what's the big take away point? A group of people committed an entire genocide against another people and when they couldn't get guns for whatever reason, they simply switched to machete's and mission accomplished, success achieved. A properly conducted large scale genocide by simply switching to another weapon. With these crude machetes they still killed almost a million. Let's ban Machete's!!!

Okay, next. I remember another slack-jaw in China that stabbed about 22 kids, I don't know how many died but it was a regular knife. While I was looking that up I ran across another one I'd never even heard of. Again, in China, some other propeller head took a knife and killed 20 school children and injured another 50 others. Simple reality folks, a man with a knife that is young and fast on his feet could slash 50-100 people in the blink of an eye (this particular guy did 70).

Don't know, but it may be that in China they don't have the access to guns we do. Undaunted, they seem to choose knives and ring up numbers that are comparable to the killings in the U.S.

Remember the perpetually resplendent Jim Jones of Guyana and his omnipresent sunglasses? He killed about 1,000 people. Yes, yes, many were by gunshot but some of them died from the Purple Kool-Aid laced with cyanide. Shall we ban poisons? (Well, there goes my hobby.)

So, wrap up time. Whatever you ban people will always find easy ways to get it if they want it. This has been going on since time began and is showing no signs of stopping now. Think of the opening scenes from Kubrick's 2001. They were killing each other with animal bones, femurs, I believe. Let's ban femurs, goddamn it! As people are still being killed by being struck in the head by animal bones, they do make a good weapon. Perhaps our elitist liberal plantation over-seers will find a way to do away with those too. I can't fathom how they would do it, but have no doubt that within a few hours, they could come up with a plan. Their famous PLANS.

The vast majority of mass killings are committed by democrats. The vast majority of inner city gang killings, (Chicago, Baltimore, St Louis etc.) are committed by democrats and far left wing ideologues.

The reason for this is quite evident. The far left promulgates and encourages hate and division. Many of low intelligence and or left wing ideologues buy into this hate and commit acts of mass violence. It is really that simple.

The problem is not guns. The problems is left wing hatred that causes these acts of mass violence.

There can be only one response to the will to power driven sociopaths who want to disarm us: NO. BFYTW. Your move.

Lets not forget the worst mass murder in an American school was NOT done with a gun.

Well, it’s been over a month since Feb 14; many more years since Columbine and Sandy Hook. If we can’t just make all the guns “disappear”, what have any of these schools done differently to enhance security since then? What’s the back up plan? Hell, the doors at Parkland weren’t even locked. Are the parents still just packing their kids up and sending them right back in without demanding any changes?

An AR-15 can be fired as fast as you can pull the trigger.

FWIW so can double-action revolvers.

“There are over 400 million privately owned guns in the United States.”

And how often to you suspect those firearms are used by citizens in legal, self-defense situations to prevent or stop a violent crime? (Hint: over 80000 times per year!) What does the DoJ have to say about that?

Furthermore, in 2005 the SCOTUS had ALREADY RULED in Castle Rock v Gonzalez that the POLICE have NO LEGAL OBLIGATION to PROTECT PRIVATE CITIZENS! Even when notified! (Even after they disarm us!)
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/politics/justices-rule-police-do-not-have-a-constitutional-duty-to-protect.html

...yet somehow the schools and other gun free zones have NO RESPONSIBILITY for the safety of those they disarm and require to be there.

(Hint: over 80000 times per year!) What does the DoJ have to say about that?

That is the extreme low-ball estimate from a survey where they do not even ask the question.

The CDC, in an Obama Regime funded study, estimated the number of defensive gun uses to be between 500,000 and 2.5 million per year.

Defensive Use of Guns

“Defensive use of guns by crime victims is a common occurrence, although the exact number remains disputed (Cook and Ludwig, 1996; Kleck, 2001a). Almost all national survey estimates indicate that defensive gun uses by victims are at least as common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging from about 500,000 to more than 3 million (Kleck, 2001a), in the context of about 300,000 violent crimes involving firearms in 2008 (BJS, 2010). On the other hand, some scholars point to a radically lower estimate of only 108,000 annual defensive uses based on the National Crime Victimization Survey (Cook et al., 1997). The variation in these numbers remains a controversy in the field. The estimate of 3 million defensive uses per year is based on an extrapolation from a small number of responses taken from more than 19 national surveys. The former estimate of 108,000 is difficult to interpret because respondents were not asked specifically about defensive gun use.”

Their BA is COMPLETE SUBTERFUGE to cover the facts that they haven’t done ANYTHING in the upteen years since Columbine and VA Tech... Hope and No Change!

I like using the low number because I like to hear them complain: “No way it’s 3 million! It’s ONLY 80,000!!!”

That’s at least 180 defense firearm uses a day at the lowest anti-gun estimate!

The back up plan is to get a time machine, go back to 1345 and kill the SOB who invented the gun....yeah, that would do it...
