Trump might have directed Sessions to do so, but it could never be admitted. That is why I say it is Session’s plan.

Frogs are pithed (inserting a needle into the brain) before they are cooked. Pithing a democrat would be a challenge even for the most skilled.

There’s still a whole herd of the clueless and proud of it.

You know I read that Trump was aware that he was going to recuse himself prior to getting the A.G. nod.

Source?

That will be the excuse.

No excuse is needed if you take Jeff Sessions at his word.

You mean like voting 'Aye' for the Iran Deal?

truth is, none of us FReepers know what Sessions is up to. But, it’s seriously hard for me to imagine that the totally incompetent bungler which he appears to be, would be tolerated by a President, smart, sincere and focused on draining the swamp.

Sessions is recused from these investigations. Any US attorney "outside" DC would still answer up the chain to acting AG on these matter, a FISC abuser, Rod Rosenstein.

And since Sessions has recused himself from the Justice Dept., it would be Rosenstein who picked the attorney...I'm predicting this attorney won't find anything...

It's been said by some that if a special prosecutor was chosen, Grand Jury indictments would surely be forthcoming and quickly...

Supposedly this outside of DC attorney Sessions talks about has been on the job for some time...Must be a slow mover...

He didn’t exactly hit the deck running.

Oh, quite the contrary, he did hit the deck running… away.

Sessions is keeping Mueller busy and distracted while he does the real work behind the scenes.

There was also a recent indictment against an individual in Maryland indirectly related to uranium 1.

Still haven’t found any mention of other grand juries related to Obama era scandals. It seems the most obvious to investigate would be FISC abuses. I think the tampering (if any) with evidence concerning the FBI 302’s on the Flynn interrogation will be open and shut. I've read that judge sullivan has no tolerance for prosecutor shenanigans.

My attitude is “successful prosecutions don’t just happen without extensive preparation ... and there are a lot of things that are only now coming to light.”

Rosenstein and Sessions encouraged Trump to fire Comey...The day after Trump fires Comey, Rosenstein hires a pit bull to go after Trump for firing Comey...

Rosenstein, Comey, Mueller and McCabe appear to be the 'rat pack' of the Justice Dept...I can not imagine Rosenstein would appoint an attorney who would be investigating Rosenstein and his cronies except to exonerate the entire Cabal...

Robots take things at face value.

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, under oath, in front of Congress, recused himself from all of these investigations.

The sensible thing to do is to take him at his word.

America was taken over a hundred years ago, that is what Woodrow Wilson was talking about and Eisenhower was talking about when he warned of the military industrial complex. America has been an oligarchy for a century. In an oligarchy, the politics and the media are bought.

It is SO, SO, BAD!!! It is like the mafia taking over our country. They were a stealthy mafia which kept us fooled for so long.
