I have a concern that RINO Romney is going to win Utah. But I believe he would go down in flames if a Trump-like politician would rise up and oppose him. Who is going to do this? Are there any prospects? Utah can do better. We need the Trump Train to continue. We need to keep moving forwards, not backwards with a Romney in office.
Utah is about 60% Mormon. Mitt seems to be THE Mormon candidate, and will likely be supported by Pres. Trump as well as the GOP-E.
Energy might be better targeted elsewhere.
He is an alumnus of BYU, I watched on tv, him giving a speech there. Apparently, the people like him. Yes, he has some liberalized views that would make him apparently, a McCain-like vote.

Just think, without Obama’s vote fraud that is coming to light Mitt might be enjoying a second term right now. So maybe in some strange demented way we have something to thank Obama for. I saw his announcement video. He sounded like Trump talking about trade. Not sure what he is up to.
For all their apparently conservative ways, Mormons have a history of supporting candidates that talk to the right but govern to the left. And, they had an issue with Trump that was very noticeable during the campaign, his numbers were much weaker in Utah than they should have been. Utah might need a candidate like Trump but they clearly don’t want a candidate like Trump.
Utah is ‘conservative’ mostly because of abortion and same-sex marriage, anathema to LDS. Otherwise it might be a toss-up state in presidential elections. But it’s going to be overwhelmingly Mormon regardless.
Anyone besides Mitt wouldn’t be as much a national celebrity, and that would be good for Pres. Trump. Too bad the Mormon Church is going to make that decision.
The Mormon church wants another amnesty Senator.
They control Utah, not sure there is much we can do to stop them.
It’s a bit more than “some liberalized views”, he’s the father of gay marriage and government healthcare.
He is a Democrat in an R jersey, even worse than McCain.

I’m a Utah resident and meet the qualifications...and I’d actually like to take a shot at it, but not sure how possible it even is. Mittens has the GOP-E, the Olympic ‘success’ that will be milked, the Mormon masses, and the funding. I’m afraid we’re replacing the 3rd PA senator with the 3rd MA senator.
