And 6.5 is not stocked at any Wal-Mart or Tractor Supply that I've visited.

I haven't put my 6.5 through the paces yet but I believe that it will remain a "speciality gun" to me.

Same deal with the 30-30 vs .300 Savage. Ballistics are nearly identical, with the .300 Savage having a slight advantage.

But as a SHTF firearm, the 30-30 wins hands down.

30-30’s are a Midwestern staple. The Savage is an also ran.
