I haven't put my 6.5 through the paces yet but I believe that it will remain a "speciality gun" to me.

But there are trillions of .308 laying around.

I like the Creedmore. However, it fills the niche that a .243 does. Not a bad cart, but not my favorite.

I have an emotional attachment to my .308. My first deer killed as an adult was with a .308 handload.

The 5.56/.223 is a sucky round ... so we are told. But it is stockpiled everywhere by citizens and by the gummint. Have a 5.56mm rifle.

Yep...me too.
I love the 6.5, but in a real SHTF scenario, you’re gonna want to be able to use ammo that can be scavenged from almost anywhere....that means military calibers that can be used in civilian rifles.
