As a queer femme of color, I keep close relationships with people who go beyond allyship; they’re true accomplices in the fight against white supremacy, queerphobia, and misogyny. If you’re not going to support marginalized folks, then we can’t be friends, let alone date. The personal is political.
Beyond the lovely cushioning, happiness and support that we receive from our platonic relationships (which are, in all honesty, soul-feeding and essential), feminists also date! But there are questions we have to ask before we get close to someone.

Herstory is apparently a satirical comedy:
“Don’t waste your time and energy on dating someone who thinks that Islam is inherently violent or misogynistic. Instead, read some Huda Sha’arawi or Mona Eltahawy to educate yourself further on Muslim feminism.”
First dates that last five minutes—in this case of this “person” we could be talking a lot less time.
Thirty seconds of her hate speech and any reasonable person would make a quick getaway.
“Muslim feminism”—hope they don’t try that anywhere in the Middle East! ;-)
She keeps saying she is gong to “stay in her lane” but then shes veers her metaphoric car all over the road into everyone else’s lane.
How can somebody be that judgmental on EVERYTHING and hope to find a life partner who doesn’t need a sandbox?
It’s not so much that they “think” this way: it’s that they posit these things.
They are what you get when the little shit that insists you play by her rules or she’ll “take her ball and go home” grows up.

How common is lesbian partner violence?
About 17-45% of lesbians report having been the victim of a least one act of physical violence perpetrated by a lesbian partner (1,5,6,13). Types of physical abuse named by more than 10% of participants in one study included:
- Disrupting other's eating or sleeping habits
- Pushing or shoving, driving recklessly to punish, and slapping, kicking, hitting, or biting (11).
- Sexual abuse by a woman partner has been reported by up to 50% of lesbians (12).
- Psychological abuse has been reported as occurring at least one time by 24% to 90% of lesbians (1,5,6,11,14).

Using my brain is hard, dating people with opposing views is even harder.

She flatters herself thinking that any healthy person would want to date someone with such a chip on her shoulder and so not-fun.
Egads! I expected ugly, but not butt-fugly! In my world, her ideology would be only a secondary reason why we wouldn’t date. There’s nothing about that mule-faced creature that is appealing.
Further evidence that the Nineteenth Amendment needs to be repealed.
She’s looking for a strategic partner in the (Communist) Revolution, not a life partner in growing through adulthood.
I tried, I really did.
However, I couldn’t get past the first six words without deciding this article is utterly, irredeemably cancerous.
I consider myself pretty smart, but there are three words I don’t know in the title and first sentence - intersectional, queer femme, and allyship.
