Yes. Some of the books are still available from Amazon. According to the books, Bill Clinton had his “bad character” reputation from his Arkansas days and Hillary was already in her fixit mode. The Democrat machine, though, saw him as someone who could win the Presidency and went into action. Had Ross Perot stayed out of that race, Clinton would not have won. Most of the books charge things against Clinton worse than his sexual appetites and his use of the State Police to help him in those activities. All in all, if only half of those writings are true, Clinton has a sordid past, and, now, the US has a chance to understand, through honest examination, what really happened with the Russian Dossier and the Uranium deal, for those things, much more than Bill’s sexual aggressions, will effect Americans and our future. Make no mistake. All of these things are not just Bill. They are Bill and Hillary, together. They are, as Bill said, “two for one.” It is an amazing development, after all of these years, that some people, like Mr. Douthat, are talking about this. If you want to read what is stranger than fiction, get all the books you can about the lives of both Bill and Hillary, read, and decide what you think. Those of us who lived through those years know what we think. It was reported that the Clinton’s even stole items from the WH when they left. No one talks about that. Is it true? Might be a good time to cleanse everything. The swamp of today was generously nurtured and fed throughout that period.
And we need the context of Douthat. He didn’t graduate from Harvard magna cum laude until the year after 9/11. He is not so much “revisiting” the era of Clinton criminality as looking at something that was going over his head when he was coming out of middle school.
Won’t see any of these books in a required reading list for college, eh? We should donate them to his library.
