CBS and Schieffer were propagandists for the Clinton campaign and did all they could to disparage Trump. They were fake journalists and definitely not “independent”. Only a fool would take them seriously.
It seems to me that somewhere during his love affair with freedom of the left-wing press, he took a wrong turn and forgot all about freedom of speech. And of course he has no awareness that and uncriticized press like Pravda is the worst insult to democracy.
For eight years they refused to hold a president accountable, abetted incompetence and overt corruption, and have the nerve to complain about well earned criticism.
First of all, the networks are not the press. They do not buy their press, paper, ink etc. They use the public airwaves.
I still believe they should have freedom but not the monolithic propaganda machines which describes the current mass media.
A corporate/globalist press is not an independent press.
