Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick expressed his appreciation for Eminem's fiery four-and-a-half-minute freestyle takedown of President Trump.
"I appreciate you," Kaepernick said in a tweet that also had the video, which aired at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday.
Kaepernick led a movement beginning last season when he took a knee during the national anthem to protest the treatment of African Americans and other minorities in the U.S. Eminem dedicated a portion of his freestyle to supporting Kaepernick and other NFL players who have recently come under attack by the president for those demonstrations.
"Now, if you're a black athlete, you're a spoiled little brat for tryna use your platform or your stature," Eminem said....

Being the worlds’ greatest rapper is like being the world’s tastiest dog turd.
So is Kaepernjerk. Well, half white anyway but I like to call him all white being that the only thing black about him was his drop and run dad who to date he has never met, doesn’t even know his name as his white birth mother refuses to tell him which suggests to me she could have been raped. But then he was adopted and raised by a white family in a white neighborhood, yet the second he becomes an adult suddenly he is Malcolm X and thinks he comes from Ghana. He has a video on his Facebook page where he visits Ghana to “be with his people” as he says, even though to me he looks more middle eastern than black which could even mean his father was middle eastern.
