Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Irma and then Hurricane Maria a categaory 5 monster hurricane two weeks later.

But Caren Yuliz Cruz Soto is a Democrat so she expects everything to be given to her for free.

Also note that in the video she didn’t have anyone behind her moving product. Does Trump have to hand out the water bottles, too.

Kind of like all those New Orleans school buses just sitting in a flooded parking lot when they could have been used for evacuation before Katrina hit.

Whiny bitch. I’ve heard her on news clips. Sounds like she’s in cahoots with handlers back here on the mainland to stir the pot. They’re bound and determined to make this Trump’s Katrina event.

Same reason, too....Union drivers said driving the buses to save folks was not in their contract.

A Katrina repeat.

Saw this as a reply to a post on another forum but explains things perfectly..
“President Trump dispatched 140 helicopters, 28 ships, 6 Army field hospitals, 3 Navy Seabee Battalions, 5 US Army Combat Engineer Battalions, 3 Civil Affairs battalions, 2 Nuclear Submarines capable of generating 2.8 Gigawatts of Power, and released 300,000 tons of food, medical supplies and water from Military stocks to Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rossello praised President Trump for his rapid response to Hurricane Maria, adding that the American island is still struggling to recover from “the biggest catastrophe in modern history for Puerto Rico.
Gov. Rossello and other officials lauded President Trump and the Federal government for *** having a comprehensive relief plan in place before the storm hit.***
Resident Commission Jenniffer Gonzalez, Puerto Rico’s non-voting congressional representative, explained that President Trump’s response is a welcome change from previous administrations. “This is the first time we get this type of federal coordination,” she added.
It’s an island and ports were damaged and roads were impassable. The ships were waiting to dock to deliver the supplies. Trump didn’t delay his response, they had to repair damage before the ships could dock. Now, there are tons and tons of supplies there but the local truck drivers aren’t showing up to drive the trucks. Even if they did, I heard more than half the roads are damaged. So now they are airlifting in supplies to inaccessible areas. What more can Trump do?
Puerto Rico’s main port opened Saturday allowing 11 ships stocked full of federal aid to dock. The ships delivered 23,000 cots, 1.6 million gallons of water, food, and generators. Many more ships are scheduled to arrive over the next few days. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) officials arrived with the ships and brought satellite phones to all of the island’s towns and cities.
Still, the media keeps pushing the narrative that the federal government, and Trump, is ignoring Puerto Rico because he hates Hispanics. In other words, fake news. How long are people going to keep falling for the same old lies? When are you going to realize you are being manipulated (willingly) so as to purposely divide the country.”

Please don’t repeat fake news on FR. They can’t get there local drivers because there is no communication on the island. US mainland is sending union and other drivers down there.

They expect the Pres. & Melania to come drive those trucks full of supplies since the drivers haven’t shown up. We haven’t seen such helpless people since Katrina. They blamed that disaster by the local Democrat officials on the Republican president, too.

Military has trucks which will get through on bad roads. Ship in a few. Tell the union drivers there will be no work for them. Arm the military drivers

That’s exactly what’s happening.

Several days ago, some idiot on MSNBC said that Puerto Rico would be Trump’s Katrina. The media have been pushing the story that Trump has neglected Puerto Rico in their hour of need.

This is all media propaganda. This mayor is simply a stooge being used by the media for their propaganda.

The left, the Democrats are rejoicing in their good luck hurricane Maria. They own Puerto Rico, and they and their media sidekicks will use P.R. as a tool to attempt all possible to destroy our President.

We have to route every story about the hapless Puerto Ricans, their corrupt, inept, government, and the people that expect the mainland to hand them back the functional society they ruined prior to Maria.

It’s so unfortunate as there are some very wonderful people in Puerto Rico that don’t deserve what they’ve been handed.

We haven’t seen such helpless people since Katrina.

I remember that well. I worked hurricane relief for Katrina and for Rita. I was in the military, working 17 hour days helping the Katrina folks, first in LA, and later in GA. When I got back to my hotel room late one night, the manager informed me they were kicking me out. "I have a 30 day contract and I am here providing relief", I said. He told me tough. Get out.

The next morning, an air conditioned bus arrived, and New Orleans refugees swarmed the hotel. They each had new ATM cards too, provided by the taxpayer.

Mayor’s worse than just a stooge......she’s incompetent as she’s a no show at the meetings and why she hasn’t a clue what’s going on. They have said ...She needs to get her a** up here!”

From your account name, I am going to assume a Navy background. I was Army but will assume that we both were taught to take the initiative and fix things before they become a problem. That one aspect of a personality is perhaps the most significant difference between liberal and conservative.

And now with hurrican Maria, the consequences of not being self-sufficient are writ large. All that is left to the liberal is to whine and complain.
