Thanks for posting this. It does bring back memories. My own 'grannie' loved this show. It was her favorite.
She passed in 1971 at age 88 years God rest her buoyant soul.
She had things in common with the hillbillies like making lye soap and she loved her turnip greens.

City slickers love to laugh at country folks but these shows end up sending the message that country people are good, city slickers are evil. Trump is the Manhattan Hillbilly. City slickers love to laugh at his common folk ways but in the end Trump comes across as honest and not evil like the libtards that mock him.

"Evil"?
Okay. I get that it was more complicated than "country folks stupid, city folks smart," but was it really "country folks good, city folks bad"?
Both groups were comical but in different ways, but I don't think Milburne and Jane were evil.

I think they repackaged this episode with the “Beverly Hillbillies” intro. Either that, or they reused the “million dollar” and “Tom Mix” jokes in other episodes.

The pilot was named the Hillbillies of Beverly Hills. Did they change it for the first episode? The Beverly Hillbillies works so much better.I'm glad they changed the title. "Hillbillies of Beverly Hills" sounds like a National Geographic special.

LOL. BTW, "Carry On Girls" was WAY ahead of its time:
