Colin Kaepernick has never registered to vote in any election: Report
The Washington Times ^ | November 16, 2016 | Jessica Chasmar

Colin Kaepernick, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback who started a national conversation by kneeling during the national anthem to highlight racial injustices in America, was widely criticized after he revealed he didn’t vote on Election Day.

But as it turns out the 29-year-old, credited by some as the face of the Black Lives Matter movement, has never been registered to vote in any election, according to a report by The Sacramento Bee.

Mr. Kaepernick, who turned 18 in 2005, never registered to vote in his home state of California or Nevada, where he attended the University of Nevada, Reno, from 2006 to 2010, according to voting records reviewed by The Sacramento Bee.

“That means he missed presidential elections in 2008 and 2012 — when Democrat Barack Obama was elected president — in addition to a variety of state and local elections in other years,” the report said.

Mr. Kaepernick openly admitted to reporters that he didn’t vote for either President-elect Donald Trump or Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on Election Day because he thought it would be “hypocritical” of him to submit to an oppressive system.....

That’s a good point. It would be interesting to see his college transcripts from UNR.

Early life
Kaepernick was born in 1987 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Heidi Russo, a 19-year-old white woman of Irish and Bohemian[dubious – discuss] descent who was single at the time. His birth father, an African American man, left Russo before Colin was born.Russo placed Colin for adoption with Rick and Teresa Kaepernick, a white couple who had two children—son Kyle and daughter Devon—and were looking for a boy after losing two other sons to heart defects. Kaepernick became the youngest of their three children. He lived in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, until age four, and attended grade school in Turlock, California.

When Kaepernick was eight years old, he began playing youth football as a defensive end and punter. He then became his youth team’s starting quarterback at age nine, and he completed his first competitive pass for a long touchdown. A 4.0 GPA student at John H. Pitman High School in Turlock, California, Kaepernick played football, basketball and baseball and was nominated for All-State selection in all three sports his senior year. He was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Central California Conference in football, leading his school to its first-ever playoff victory. In basketball, he was a first-team all CCC selection at forward and led his 16th-ranked team to a near upset of #1 ranked Oak Ridge High School in the opening round of playoffs. In that game, Kaepernick scored 34 points but Ryan Anderson scored 50 to beat the Pitman.

Be a funny gotcha question to throw at Obama. If he starts pontificating about Kaepernick, the interviewer could say “Well, you know, Kaepernick never voted for you in your two elections”
