"The Earth Abides"! Wow, I've not thought of that book since I was a teenager. It was a fine book, and perhaps the best non-nuclear post apocalypse scenario I've ever read.

May I suggest "The Immortals" by Rene Barjavel? It came out in 1973 and was a very interesting read for a young teen.

In many, many ways they are part and parcel to the brainwashing.

Many of the “books” we were required to read seem to be coming to fruition now. Liberals always project what they are trying to accomplish and for 40 years or so we’ve been laughing at their ideas.

Now their ideas are truly happening and we are no longer laughing but living in their odd world perception with no way out.

I knew it! Liberals thought Orwell was writing training manuals.

BINGO!

funny she compares herself to Orwell when Amazon is censoring reviews to her new book:

About the time of Goldwater and my first ventures into YAF I got exposed to books like Rand’s Anthem, Taylor Caldwell’s The Devil’s Advocate (not the other book by the same name about Saints), Barry Goldwater’s Conscience of a Conservative and Shafley’s A Choice Not and Echo.

The truely foundational books were almost impossible to come across in our educational system or too dense for a young reader such as Burke’s Reflections on the Revolution in France.

Let’ not promote Hillary beyond her achievement level. Hillary was not valedictorian, but class president at a small women’s college. The sixties might have been different, but usually the class president job goes to an ambitious ass because most students have better things to do than play junior politician. She used her position to lobby the administration hard on the extreme importance of including a “student voice” at commencement — it was just a coincidence it was her own voice...

What she’s trying to say is that torture and intimidation undermines our trust in government entities. Of course, because she’s lazy, dictated this mess of potage and then didn’t proof read the manuscript, it reads exactly the opposite. When will America’s women realize she’s an idiot??

If you want to see a fresh example of the media lying through omission to protect Hillary, check out how they edited the same paragraph in this article

More from the Guardian, apologist for Clinton:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/sep/11/hillary-clinton-what-happened-memoir-donald-trump-1984

>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So what happened?

Along with her blunders and Comey, Clinton refuses to bow down to the notion that the election was not about race. When those who voted for Trump listed their top priorities as national security and immigration, Clinton writes, “that’s a polite way of saying many of these voters were worried about people of color – especially blacks, Mexicans and Muslims, threatening their way of life.”

Cautious not to indict all of Trump’s supporters as racist or xenophobic, Clinton nonetheless states: “You had to be deaf to miss the coded language and racially charged resentment powering Trump’s campaign.”

This makes little difference, but multiple searches yield zero evidence that she was valedictorian and many that she was a the college’s first student commencement speaker. The Wikipedia hagiography on Hillary does not say she was. Hillary’s bio on her official campaign website does not say she was. An article by a Wellesley professor of the time states that Wellesley had no tradition of Valedictorians and Valedictorian commencement speeches, so activist students pushed for a commencement speech by a student. If you have links to reliable sources otherwise, I’d be interested in seeing it.
