Hillary Continues Her Nora Desmond Act
DB Daily Update ^ | 9.11.2017 | David Blackmon

It’s all your fault, too, Jane. – The Most Corrupt Woman in America sat down for an interview with Jane Pauley on Sunday’s CBS Morning News program, and boy was this a hard-hitting slugfest! Ok, just kidding. Ms. Pauley is of course just another fake journalist who openly rooted for Ms. Clinton during the 2016 election campaign. Plus, the parent company of CBS also owns the company that is publishing Hillary’s latest bit of fiction, so the chances of any real journalism taking place in the interview were roughly equal to the chances of the San Francisco Giants to win this year’s World Series.

Question #1: How much should all Americans hate all Americans for causing you to lose? – No wonder, then, that the interview began with Ms. Pauley literally impaling her self at the altar of Hillary worship with this question: “So, I’m wondering. How are you?” It all went downhill from there, with Ms. Pauley even jumping in to help Her Corruptness expand on her hateful points. At one point, after Clinton had claimed that Donald Trump had played to the “millions of people who were upset about gains that were made by others,” good ol’ Jane piped in with “…millions of white people…”, to which Senora Corrupcion quickly agreed.

If only this could go on forever. Oh, wait… – Otherwise, the interview amounted to just another opportunity for The Corrupt Woman to whine, act out, point fingers, slander the current President of the United States and basically blame everyone in the known universe – except, of course, her own self – for denying her her life’s rightful conclusion as brutal dictator of the entire world!!!!!!, er, the first female POTUS.

Carol’s funniest sketches were the “Mama’s Family” ones when all the actors got so deeply into character you forgot that they were not Ed, Eunice, Mama, etc. Those could make me laugh so hard I was crying and couldn’t breathe.

As for the Hildabeast, why oh why does anyone listen to this zero credibility battle-axe anymore? Dems need to move on and shake the dust of the Clinton Crime family from their sandals.

She claimed she was not going to be a candidate again but why would anyone believe anything she says given her track record? Regardless, she did confirm she had not even considered losing and therefore had no concession speech to give.

I too liked the interactions with the audience that Carol did. Also liked their parody of “Went With The Wind” that had even Dinah Shore in it, lol.

I wish she had been asked about why they cancelled the fireworks show that night. They had been scheduled to shoot off fireworks on election night. But cancelled several days before the election. Did their internal polling tell then she was going down?

And we’ll never know what fake glass ceiling breaking show they were going to out on that night at the Javits center.

I can’t believe she took a nap that night, as election results were coming in. She dreamed of being president her whole adult life her moment of Truth is here and she was taking a nap???? Is this why she trotted out John Podesta on election night to tell her people to go home? Rather than appear herself??

Nobody would do the interaction stuff now.

That’s sad.

Carol reminds me a lot of one of my aunt’s personality-wise.

Nora Desmond Act...?.......I was more hoping for an Isadora Duncan event

I was not familiar with her, thanks for giving me something to look up. Very interesting story.

I saw excerpts of that on the news last night and I think Jane Pauley was cringing in the part that was replayed...It looked to me like she couldn’t believe what she was hearing and was trying to keep from laughing or keep from showing what she really felt...kind of like a parent or school teacher going along with whatever the child who is in trouble was trying to spin to get out of trouble.

Carol Burnett was empathetic (unlike Hillary). She saluted her audience as the source of her success by answering their questions, one on one.

One night Carol got momentarily tongue-tied. She went “BLEAAHH!” and crossed her eyes; even her bloopers were classic. A truly classy lady.

Some years ago there was a Carol Burnette special where the cast talked about their time on the show.

Harvey Korman had a reputation for being difficult to work with. He would blow off meetings and rehearsals, make outrageous demands. Typical Hollywood BS.

Carol said she met him the first day as he walked in the door and chatted with him until they got to the dressing rooms and never had a problem with him.

Cut to Harvey.
He said Carol met him and told him straight up it was the Carol Burnette show, not the Harvey Norman show.
He would be on time for meetings, rehearsals, tapings and anything else he was needed for.
If he did that they would have a lot of fun, make good comedy and stay employed.
She warned him, “Harvey, pull any of your crap and I will fire you.”
He said he never thought about crossing her.

I loved their Gone With The Wind parody.
“This old thing? It was just hanging around.”

Single best scene and line of the show, IMO.

I can’t believe she took a nap that night...

I guess that's what they call it when Hill drinks herself into a stupor.

Well, LOL, yep she was in a stupor. I’m sure that she trotted out John Podesta to talk to the crowd that night, because she was in no condition to make a personal appearance.

Sometimes you hear things, and you wonder, how the heck does this make sense. This is the biggest night of her life, which she had dreamed of for decades, and she’s going to go take a nap as election results are coming in? It makes no sense.

I would sooner believe some of the stories which dribbled out, that she was in a rage that night at the results, and was so out of control that she couldn’t appear in public at that point.

All of this tripe surrounding the release of her book, and her litany of excuses, in addition to continuing with the “entitlement” attitude, it just reinforces the fact that America dodged a major bullet when she was defeated.

As she’s been in the public eye since her days in Arkansas, we’ve witnessed 2 major flaws: (1) she never takes responsibility for anything, and (2) she’ll do literally ANYTHING to prevent a true record or accounting of anything she’s been involved in come to light.

To the first point, she blames even her friends and supporters for undermining her, and blames her staffers for giving her bad advice that she took - apparently against her own instincts, if we’re to believe her. A leader takes advice from many, and then OWNS the ultimate decision. When has she ever done this?

To the second, think about how hard she worked to keep sunlight from reaching: cattle futures, Rose Law firm billings, Whitewater, her Healthcare task force, records surrounding Benghazi in general, and the “stand-down” specifically, the email server in her home, etc., etc., etc. ALL of this was avoid any accountability for anything she did in public life, and that might not have turned out well ultimately. Well Hillary - if you want to “serve” the public, you don’t get to make that choice.

History will judge her harshly, and deservedly so.

“I don’t think I’d cross Carol either.”

Them red heads are feisty!

The same special Tim Conway talked about them cracking up onstage.
During one of the first shows the cast seemed flat so Carol, who was offstage, started making faces at Harvey. He cracked up and could barely finish the skit.
Lyle Waggoner couldn’t figure out what was going on but he started laughing and the audience loved it.
A tradition was born.

I’d think a crew gig on the old Carol Burnett show would have been a good place to work.

Absolutely!
Can you imagine watching Harvey and Tim cracking jokes on the fly?

Vicki Lawrence morphing into “mama”?

And Carol directing the whole thing with the best Tarzan yell outside of a Tarzan movie.

It must have been tough to get any work done.
