I served from 1965 to 1969 as an enlisted Marine and it was maddening to come home to see twits - able-bodied twits - standing around while we did all the hard stuff for our country. Tried to enlist at 33 after 9/11. At 240 pounds they said come back when you lose enough. In my weakness, I couldn’t get to the required weight.
