The rigging of this trial was heavy including the judge overruling the striking of jurors by defense lawyers during jury selection.
At the behest of the prosecution the judge also banned the use of the First and Second Amendments as defenses in the case.
She banned the jury from hearing any defense witnesses and when one of the defendants testified in his own defense in the presence of the jury, she agreed to a prosecution request to strike his testimony from the record.
They took him right off the witness stand right in front of what the media called a “stunned jury”.
The defense lawyers made no closing arguments at all as a means of protest at the rigging of the trial.
Once the ‘no-closing-arguments’ episode unfolded, I think the jury just sat there in disbelief. It was a fake trial, with a judge having some pre-set agenda in mind. The fake that three days have passed with the deliberations? I think it’s going to be impossible to get this to the end. Hung-jury is my prediction. At least one....maybe even five or six people who say that the whole court episode was handled in the wrong fashion. It wouldn’t surprise me they come back, and say in a blunt fashion that the judge was the key failure of the hung-jury.
PING!!!
