How Much Should We Believe? Does Each Story Have an Element of Truth or is it All One Big ConJob?

If one remains open to the possibility that the public is being fed lies, it begs the question of how much we can believe, and if there are any 100% reliable sources. In the US, news agencies like CNN are considered “trustworthy”; most readers here will consider this laughable, but there are still many (despite the recent Project Veritas videos) who think this is Real News. In the UK there is the BBC, who are massively biased and anti-English. So what’s the answer?

It is easy to fall into feedback loops from Social Media. If you check out the people on your Twitter feed (assuming you use this and not the fast growing Gab.ai), it is likely that many of the people there have similar opinions to yourself. So we just get information that we know we’ll react either positively or “righteously negatively” to.

All one big con job. Feces on all their faces!

They must abandon the Clintons, Soros, CNN, WAPO, the NY Times, Pelosi, Podesta, and Schumer. The sooner the better.

If you think I forgot the Obamas, it is because I want to forget them.

I used to be more likely to believe sources who have something to lose if they were caught lying. But when I think of the scorn heaped on past presidents accused of using federal agencies for political purposes and compare that to the ho-hum reaction to Obama’s weaponizing those same agencies to go after opponents, and the non-reaction that caused, I realize that times have changed so much, there is little to lose for any behavior if it happens on the left.

This tracks with the emergence of leftist media, who submit to nonsensical narratives, then smuggle assumptions into their reporting to further the leftist agenda. I firmly believe the press would be neutered if reporters were not allowed to use adjectives. That could cramp the ability to sway the reader short of outright lying.

..... from one end of the spectrum saying that Islamic terrorism is a “part of everyday life, and very probably a result of our own foreign policy”, to the other proclaiming that “Muslims want to take over your country and kill you”.

________

When it comes to left vs. right opinions on matters like this, one of us is correct and one of us isn’t. The left is incorrect. They’re lying charlatans that push an agenda that’s harmul to their own nation’s liberty and security.

None of it. Here is another example of fake news where CNN interviews the fictional Sesame Street character, Elmo about his recent visit to a refugee center in Jordan.

Imo, that the author has to ask the question indicates that he’ll be incapable of comprehending the answer.
