If you support the results of the CT state HS track finals, you support full integration.

Remembering the match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. She defended the singles court and he defended the doubles court and she still had a challenge beating the old washed up male who was 25 years older.

I grew up in a Bronx neighborhood next to a huge park. It had baseball fields, football gridirons, basketball courts....bocci ball courts

.....no tennis courts.

...No need....

That is all

I think women’s tennis should be a haven for washed up male tennis players. That way B-list losers can still call themselves champions, if they want it badly enough to claim they “identify as female”. Does my answer win extra points for supporting diversity and political correctness?

End it until society finally screams that total equality of the sexes is insane

Full disclosure: I don’t follow tennis, but have played and watched some.

If they want to get rid of it, I say power to those pushing for it. I presume it is feminists. It will mean no more women’s tennis. They cannot compete against men, especially on the serve.

It is like marathons. The first woman routinely crosses the finish line 15-20 minutes after the first man. It isn’t even close.

It is the same in every sport including tennis. If they get rid of the segregation, there won’t be any women competing at all.

Yes, and the women’s Olympic teams, women’s college athletics, and women “winners” in every marathon. At least until this leftist idiocy stops.

No more gender segregation in sports. It is an artificial barrier constructed by males who fear getting beaten by a girl.

This is something that both Jesus and Mohammad would both agree on.

If the age of the contestants is 8-13 years old...sure. At that age, a lot of girls can compete directly against boys in non-professional settings and win.

Once puberty kicks in, it isn’t even close, and gets even more unequal when those male growth spurts occur.

All that unfair naturally produced steroid that men have!

Search Results gen·der ˈjendər/ noun noun: gender; plural noun: genders 1. the state of being male or female (typically used with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones). "traditional concepts of gender" synonyms: sex "variables included age, income, and gender" the members of one or other sex. "differences between the genders are encouraged from an early age" 2. Grammar (in languages such as Latin, Greek, Russian, and German) each of the classes (typically masculine, feminine, common, neuter) of nouns and pronouns distinguished by the different inflections that they have and require in words syntactically associated with them. Grammatical gender is only very loosely associated with natural distinctions of sex.

Let’s push this absurdity as hard as we can. It will result in the full and complete destruction of FEMALE sports. Make colleges and the uber leftists eat every bit of this.

In my neighborhood anyone who played tennis was considered a female.

Actually the Riggs/King match was legitimate, in that they were both defending the singles court.
Riggs, however, had defeated Margaret Court in May of that year, quite easily. At the time, Court was the #1 ranked woman in the world, while King was ranked at #2. Media never mentioned the Riggs/court match, much at all.
Eventually, the hype began for the Riggs/King match. To this day, I believe that match was designed to promote women’s tennis. Hype was unbelievable. I also think that Riggs (who had debts), may have thrown the match to make money, who knows. Anyway King won, and it set off a boom of sorts, in women’s tennis, which was the intent I’m certain.
You may have been thinking about a match in the early 90s between Jimmy Connors and Martina Navratilova. In that match, Connors defended a larger court, sort of a “halfway” increase, not the full doubles court, but larger than the singles court. Connors also only got one serve per point, rather than the customary two. Connors won the match something like 6-4, 6-3. But as an old gambler says.....”if you gotta handicap it, you already know who’s better”.

Good observation. Renee Richards was not a threat to the names in women’s tennis. The kid in Connecticut stole the honor that was due a real XX girl.

By all means abolish it. We don’t need to look at women in sports any more.

I never liked women’s sports to begin with. In college we played basketball (pick-up games) at a gym that was designed for practicing and informal sports. But then the girls’ (translated, lesbian) volleyball team would show up for a real game and kick us off. Often we were the only ones even watching their stupid game.

So, yea, I’m all for mixing the sports...and thereby effectively getting rid of “women’s sports” since they won’t be able to compete against men, and hopefully freeing up gyms across the country for better uses.
